Scalibeasts

Couldn't find any rules on what kinds of species were allowed here so hopefully anthropomorphic species are OK!

(the art is a touch outdated lol)

True Scalibeasts died off sometime in the early medieval ages. They were vegetarian social forgers. Scalibeasts were known for being carefree and gentle, but they had very weak personalities and anything could change their mood completely, making them sad or grumpy for extended periods of time (ranging from a day to a whole week), these moods were known specifically as a despondency. For every despondency, a Scalibeast produced a quill-like extension of a segment of their spine. Should a Scalibeast grow the maximum amount of spine quills, they would separate themselves from their community and begin to molt their pelt, in this stage they were known as a “Prescended”. Molting could take anywhere from a week to a year and depended on how often the Prescended Scalibeast scratched at it. A fully molted Scalibeast was known as a “Descended”. Not much is known about Descended Scalibeasts other than that they sought out and cannibalized living Scalibeasts.

Descended were ever-hungry. While they sought out Scalibeasts primarily, should a lack of preferred prey arise, they would hunt any trace of thermal activity in their area.
It should be noted that Scalibeasts did not realize Descended were previous versions of themselves and do not contain the cranial capacity to connect the disappearance of a community member and the appearance of a Descended together, therefore they did not feel remorse for destroying a Descended to protect their community.

I had postponed an MYO event for 'em but if anyone's interested I can post the MYO info here. :)

I'd like to see these populating the maps!

My presets.

Good things take time, so I'll take an eternity and create something so good that the human brain can't handle the sheer goodness of it.

Any and all types of specie are allowed on Feral Heart. Matters not what they are, just so long as they are not deemed too inappropriate for younger audiences.
Personally, I quite like Scalibeasts. It's clear how much work have been put into their creation.

In life, you can't trust everyone, but you can trust worms.

Unless you can model, you can't right now, but if someone's up to the task of modeling them then please fly right at it.

What do you mean by modelling? Sculpting in a 3D program?
