BURN THE STARS is a brand-new Warrior Cats roleplay currently in its developmental phase! In this phase, we are looking for new people to fill in our open spots for staff member positions, high ranks, and other pre-opening members who are eager to start a new chapter with their characters! We are both a Feralheart and Discord roleplay and focus on the four traditional clans: RiverClan, ShadowClan, ThunderClan, and WindClan and takes place in the original forest territory. We feature an extensive and detailed storyline and plotline that includes future-playable NPCs, two factions that are not explicitly black and white, making it harder to determine who the "bad guy" is, and a multitude of opportunities for your characters to experience!

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

FOR MOONS THE Clans have warred with each other--warred over territory, over alliances, over bias. After crossing the line for the final time, StarClan has given up hope for their salvation and have instead cast a terrible punishment upon the forest in the form of an unending blizzard. If the Clans admit their faults and learn to work together, the blizzard will end and their lives will turn back to normal... or at least, that was the plan. Instead, the Clans have split into two factions, and are growing closer to war now than ever. And as the tension rises, the temperature lowers, the winds grow stronger, and the blizzard becomes harsher...

RIVERCLAN and WINDCLAN have coined themselves as "deserters" and have turned their backs on StarClan. Why should they try to appease their ancestors any longer? If the stars have given up on them, then they'll return the favor to StarClan. Why didn't the stars stop the fighting earlier? Why not give a sign to the helpless medicine cats? Why not have been more proactive in stopping a war? Why stand by and watch the Clans kill each other? And the questions are endless... nowadays, they have abandoned all faith in StarClan, and they live their own lives, refusing to give in and bow down to the stars.

THUNDERCLAN and SHADOWCLAN have coined themselves as "loyalists" and have kept their faith in StarClan. They believe that the blizzard was justified and are set on righting their wrongs and returning to a sense of normalcy in their lives. Why didn't StarClan warn them earlier? Of course, the Clans should have known better in the first place, and they should've realized their mistakes on their own; they don't need their paws held for everything. This is all their fault, and the first step is admitting it... Now fighting for what they call the "greater good," they aim to rid of the "deserter menace" and gain StarClan's forgiveness...

But even now, a war looms above the forest. The tensions between both sides have left a deep rift between the Clans and many believe that it would take a miracle to fix it. RiverClan thinks ThunderClan is the enemy, ThunderClan believes RiverClan is a stain on the forest, WindClan thinks ShadowClan is spineless and blind, ShadowClan believes WindClan are traitors to their ancestors... but they all hate each other, and at the end of the day, no one is sure what the future holds.

What path will you take?

I'm excited to see what Issy's gonna do with this rp! It's clear she's dedicated to creating an honest and friendly community, and I'm glad to be a close friend and affiliate of hers. Her more original take on the four traditional clans is going to be interesting, and I'm excited to develop my characters!

« on: August 26, 2019, 10:18:17 pm »

SKYWARD is a brand-new and work-in-progress Warrior Cats roleplay. Rather than focusing on the traditional five clans, we are taking on a more original approach to the franchise and instead have five new original clans—CoastClan, DuneClan, GroveClan, RidgeClan, and SteppeClan—each set in their own respective locations. Set in a widely diverse and vague setting, opportunities and creativity are endless. Will your character find themselves energized by the ocean, prove their strength by baring the harshness of the desert, hunt and fight among the forests, climb to new heights in the mountains, or tame the sprawling expanses of the plains? With new threats ranging from natural disasters to predators to inter-clan conflict, will you choose to stick with the old ways of life or carve your own path into the world?

NOW ACCEPTING PRE-OPENING MEMBERS!

The roleplay's map and overall environment draw inspiration from the Great Plains, the Mojave Desert, and the Rocky Mountains. Our widely diverse setting allows for a wide assortment of new experiences and opportunities, ranging from unique in-character roleplay scenarios and a wider realm of creativity. To go along with this, the roleplay even features a custom naming guide and list of over 800 names and possiblities! Tired of having your character's name creativity getting limited? That has finally come to an end!

We pride ourselves on being an inclusive roleplay where the voices of our members are just as important as those of the staff. There will be no special plotlines focusing on specific clans or characters, and no absence of staff members in everyday conversation. We're eager to create a welcoming an friendly community where members are not afraid to speak and are encouraged to befriend one another.

In terms of realism and literacy standards, Skyward is...
literate ; yet we welcome anyone eager to improve their roleplaying, writing, and english skills!
realistic ; we keep to the Warriors canon and to the setting
mature ; violence is a prominent part of Warriors roleplays!
mapped ; featuring multiple maps to keep your experience as functional as possible
sited ; to keep things organized
long-term ; we're committed to keeping this community going once started!
inclusive ; we don't want you to feel ignored!
discorded ; but not required!

Our featured original five clans include...

COASTCLAN
The breeze of the ocean waves are not the only warm thing here; the hearts of the felines the live here are equally warm! These cats, rather than meddling in the business of others and getting into conflict, prefer a down-to-earth lifestyle where comfort and health is the most important thing. Over the years they have learned to hunt in the salty water of the sea and to avoid large fish that may see them as a snack. They're seen as a bit lazy and soft-hearted to other clans, but they're very easygoing and always welcome others with open arms, not bared fangs.

DUNECLAN
The sweltering heat and hazy atmosphere can't stop these felines; DuneClan warriors pride themselves on their durability, ferociousness, and their unwavering loyalty. Located in the heart of a vast desert expanse and surrounded by worrying predators such as venomous snakes and foxes, generations of warriors have proven DuneClan cats to be exceptionally hardened and well-suited to their environment.

GROVECLAN
Rigid, righteous, rational; the three R's. While GroveClan may come off as strict and cold to their enemies, they actually find themselves to be intelligent, efficient, and of course, righteous. They have made their home within the heavy forests of the land, and live as just their ancestors had moons and moons before. They're the first to provide alternatives and peace when it comes to conflict, but their real priority is themselves. The most traditional clan, and the best clan; that's what they see!

RIDGECLAN
Flat, plain expanses of land do nothing for these felines; RidgeClan finds home in stone, ridges, and mountain ranges. Their terrain keeps them a bit cut off from the other four Clans, but those who reside here are well known for their hardworking ethic, isolation, and mysteriousness. Moose, elk, bears, and wolves surround them on all sides, but they have learned to master the rocky terrain and know how to avoid and baffle their predators.

STEPPECLAN
Located within the great plains and moorlands of the west, these felines are quick, alert, and intelligent. Surrounded on all edges by wolves, bison, coyotes, and other large predators, over generations they have become wildly adaptable and strong. Although appearing as skittish and a little too daring to outsiders, SteppeClan felines are bound by their own convictions and always chose what they believe is the right path.

I agree with others that it'd be like losing a part of my childhood, and that I'd be losing something that I've kind of grown used to in my life, but at that same time, I'd feel a bit of relief.

I consider myself too old to be playing FeralHeart (and I'm only 19), and while I would be a bit upset at the loss of this game, I'd also be able to move on from my childhood. Start a new chapter, I guess. I can function without FeralHeart, but its shutting down would also put an end to procrastination, misguided motivation (at times), and free up some space on my computer, LOL.

This game was much more important to me in middle and high school than in college. I relied on this game to make friends and interact with others--which I really needed at that time, and I met many great people--but I no longer really need it in the way that I did back then and now it's become more of a hobby and a nuisance at times.

FH will always have a special place in my heart. But I think, if it ended, it'd force me to grow up a bit.  ;)

Game Discussion / Re: Veteran Player Nostalgia?
« on: July 21, 2019, 04:32:40 pm »
I have like, one really vivid memory of the "old" FeralHeart that I think about a lot that makes me super nostalgic. Listening to that specific song in Ficho Tunnels (Moon Temple, I believe it's called) while sitting around roleplaying or wandering the map on my own brings back so many memories and good feelings. I used to play this game a lot when I was sick with mono and other things, and just remembering that brings the good feelings that had come with it. I wish I could go back, sometimes! It really is the soundtrack that makes me nostalgic...

Also, the absolute chaos of Bonfire before they added lonely cave. The computer I had used was old and pathetic and it took me forever to get away from the spawn point. I was so relieved when they added Lonely Cave. I also miss the random Lion King roleplays at the little cliff of Bonfire, or the random fox and wolf pups wandering around.

I also miss when custom maps weren't super duper complicated! It's such a weird thing, but I loved the simplicity of old custom roleplay maps that just used the default FeralHeart items. I had some of my best roleplays in those maps. Also, when everyone used Skype groups for their roleplays instead of Discord, LOL.

Also, the husky and arctic wolf roleplays in South Pole. I've been itching to be in one ever since, but I feel like it's too late now, LOL. It just seemed like there were simply more roleplays back then, and like someone said earlier, nowadays they're basically all on Discord. It just felt like the roleplays back then were a bit more... genuine? I don't know the right word for it. Recruiting at Cape Island in Fluorite was one of my favorite things to do. Now everyone just runs around in the chaos that is The Grounds.

Thanks for your help all! Glad to know my computer won't get killed by Feralheart. I've gone and downloaded it now! Feel free to lock this, if necessary.
