Work In Progress Maps & Map Discussion / Update: 4/11/13[[WIP]] Unnamed City Map - It will be public!!!

   I have begun work on a more realistic city map. I will post updates on the map's progress and details with downloading when I am nearly done.

Estimated Completion Date Goal: 04/30/2013



Update: 04/11/2013
  • Added more streets, lighting, particles and minor details.
  • Junkyard, School, Houses and Portals nearly done and set.
  • Started working on hotel additional map.

 One thing i'm a bit worried about is that the map REALLY lags in mapmaker. I've tested it a few times in game and I guess it isn't that bad, but i still can't make the map as big as I wanted. I will most likely make a forest area out of the rest of the map.



Update: 03/07/2013

  • I already have a heightmap, basic layout, and gathered most of the meshes I needed. I was even eager enough to start one of the main streets. :D

    *Moving realistic willow meshes. To end the controversy, I got the meshes from a dead tree pack on DA and was testing out textures i arranged. The meshes are indeed not mine and I give credit to the creator. I'm sorry to anyone if I didn't make it clear.

Request/Find Meshes / City Items: Urgent! Plz Help, Looking for finishing touches

I've been searching through the forums like crazy trying to find meshes need. Luckily, I did find some, but there is a few elements i am missing. You see, I am doing almost a full on live city map that I play to make public. I'm basing much of it on games i've played like Vampire Bloodlines or maybe even grand theft auto if you want to saw, so it has that raw a bit dangerous appeal. Anything you may have links to would be greatly appreciated, even if it isnt on the list.

Requesting...

  • Chain link fences*
    Sewer entrance* (Manhole, whatever you would like to call it.)
    Streets n sidewalk*
    Streetlights/signs/billboards(Things to compliment the main roads.)
    Benches*
    People(Any person model i'll take at this point.)
    Extra buildings? (If there is any out there i missed. but I looked though most of the main stuff. Ideally, I would want maybe a few more plain skyscrapers and shop like buildings.)

   Sup everyone. Welcome to my creation page. I thought i would share some of my works with everyone. I spent a lot of time on some of this stuff and I'll update this page whenever i can. I hope everyone enjoys this stuff. NOTE: DO NOT CLAIM ANY OF THIS STUFF AS YOURS! I'm very lenient and you can edit whatever you want, but dont take my original work and say you made it. Request/Find Meshes / Arkanis's Wish List

   I'm in constant need of various meshes for some of my upcoming maps. I don't want to be a burden to anyone but if anyone knows where i could find at least some of these meshes, i would greatly appreciate the help! :D


  • Realistic trees (and a decent willow mesh, dead trees also)
  • Different flowers (hoping for some kinda rose bunch but any will do. i just dont like FH's flowers. XP)
  • Hollow log or tree
  • Japanese/Oriental meshes
  • Some castle meshes would be great!
  • Graves, statues, cemetary like gates
  • stuff lol like candles, blood, idk something dark like that
  • Also. ive been dying trying to find thunderstorm and aurora weather

   *Update: Finally completed! (Thank goodness. i think i have mapper's cramp! wait, is that a real thing? O.o)Might update a few times just to fix some lag and bugs.

   **Note: This is a huge map, and when i say huge, i mean HUGE! Depending on your computer, it may lag a bit. Just giving everyone a bit of a heads up. :P

   This is probably my first GOOD map that i made. I based it sorta off the Warriors series, but it has its own origins.

Ocean: 500 (Around there)
Flying Allowed?: Yes
There is 6 main areas:


  • Waves - A marshand like area that is far South West. The only area with pine trees.
  • Wood - A dense forestland to the East. Very thriving with the most herbs and flowers (The Land of Winds does too.)
  • Ashes - A very rocky and nearly plantless region South East. The tunnels in this area will easily confuse tresspassers.
  • Winds - A land with beautiful, vast fields and home to the tallest trees in the North.
  • Heaven's Colony - The island very North East of the mainland. Home to the Clan called Sin.
  • EtCetera - An island off the coast of the land of Woods. The portal and my personal home is there. :)

Spirits of Nirvana    






STORYLINE

  Many things have been kept from society's knowledge to reduce any mass hysteria, fear or riots. Among many of those secrets, there is a sole dreadful one. For many generations, myths have surfaced from numerous regions of the world bringing such as vampires, demons, and other beasts. These "make believe creatures" do exist.
   In this era, scientists have come to nearly completely understand the human DNA code. The advances in the medical fields became astounding. Cures and antidotes for nearly everything has been developed, but at a cost.  Embryonic research has led to the developement of other human like species. Numerous have been sighted in the recent years. The former myths were created into reality, turning many people into a developed legendary beast.
   The government spoke of the recent epidemics of more and more of our 'filth' appearing. The members decided to create a secret orginization under the name of the Black Hand to exterminate any remaining non-human species.  The ones that were not hunted down escaped and relocated to the isle of Nirvana. The island is secluded in an unknown location to the human world and has an unique property of disappearing. The link between Nirvana and the human world only appears once every blue moon. With these two world separated, each group thought this would bring peace.

   It is now the year of 2177. The human world has become enraged in chaos and war between nations. Many live in poverty on the streets. The research that made us beings real has finally stopped, with the exceptions of secret laboratories still hidden underground. However, a handful of us experiments are still in this world today. Some are even used as weapons of destruction. The Isle of Nirvana is no better. Since the experiments migrated, the various races have branched off into clans. Many are on the edge of waring with one another.




RULES

 Appropriate Language and Behavior:
This roleplay is meant to be kept friendly. Repeated swearing is not allowed. Any innapropriate subjects and actions will be  erased.  And keep in mind not everyone likes a lot of blood, gore, swearing and stuff like that, so please be mindful and respectful.

 Fighting:
Be friends and respect each other. Hate the character, not the person roleplaying that character! Getting along makes everyone happy, and I don't appreciate seeing out-of-character arguing and fighting. Plot and idea debates are ok, as long as they stay friendly.

 Mary, Gary Stues:
Your character isn't the most beautiful and perfect person in the universe. Whatever your character is, they are not the best and are not a god.

 Character Limit:
There is no exact limit set yet on characters. There must obviously be a minimum of one. How many you have is on you, you must be able to manage all of them. No exceptions.

 Romance:
Romance is allowed, but kept it under control. Anything graphic will not be tolerated. If you wish to do so, do it privately through pms.

 Be Descriptive:
Please try to be descriptive on your roleplay paragraphs and applications.

 Spamming:
Spamming is not allowed, period. Not saying any more.



SPECIES

  • Shapeshifters (Limited to 2 forms at max. Mythical beasts may be chosen such as dragons.)
  • Anthropomorphic characters (Includes werewolves and lycans, they arent the same thing D:)
  • Vampyres
  • Angels of all types (However, since were basing the races coming from experimentation, i would prefer that none of the angels are or came from heaven.)
  • Demons of all types (Same as angels. I would prefer they didn't come from Hell.)
  • Nymphs
  • Witches or wizards
  • Humans (If you can fit them in somehow)
  • Any unique experiment you can think of.




POWERS

Ok, you may pick a power unless...
   Your character is a hybrid between two races.
   Your character is powerful enough. (Ex: Having multiple beast forms as a shifter.)
   *If your character has a power, they should a weakness.
