Advice for a returning player?

Hi all, I used to play FH many many years ago. Like.. MANY. Maybe 5 or 6+ years ago - and now it is VERY different and I'm finding myself super confused on what to do ^^;

I get the new way to login! But however, lots of missing character textures and stuff are there, and all of the maps I'm used to are gone/changed.

Also am curious on if there is any graphical settings (for higher resolution anyways?).

So if there's anyone that is willing to help fill me in and get me started on things that have changed that would be awesome, as I am... Extremely confused with all the differences!!

I can't help but notice all of my characters are gone, as is my entire friends list is empty. Were profiles reset at some point or is this a bug?

First things first, there's a ton of new maps to explore so here's a link to Bawfle's map guide so you know how to get to certain maps!

There are also updated markings and items so it'd be handy to install them since the majority of players use these mods.

I'm not so sure if profiles were reset one day but perhaps it's a glitch/bug that only happened to you? Not 100% sure though. You should possibly contact a staff member about it.

I hope it's not a bug, I was really looking forward to seeing all my old characters and seeing if any of my old friends still play ;;

There are also a lot of ENB/HD mods you can use for a higher resolution if that's what your talking about. One that I recommend is Feral-Heart HD

Your profile was automatically reset to default possibly due to inactivity. After 18 months of inactivity accounts could get deleted. I remember some od my accounts that weren’t active in 2-3 years (fortunatey) didn’t get deleted, but I did lose all friends and characters.
I suggest contacting a Staff member about this.

"The Grounds" has become a hub for all player activity. Roleplay advertisements, fun pop-up rps of anime/video game characters, and a lot of the same things that used to happen in Bonfire and Ascension Island! The "portal" area of The Grounds as it's called is a sort of new Stone Bridge. People come to advertise and look for rp groups. Of course, these people are scattered around all of The Grounds making movies, but a large majority are at the portal.

Ficho Tunnels is quite empty most of the time, unfortunately. It is however quite fun to explore! You never know what you may find.

Eastern Pass and Cherika Valley are the two most common locations for rp groups to camp. With the recent addition of Kibou Ridge, there may also be a few rps that are more arctic based there.

This is not by any means an extensive list, just a few hotspots to be aware of. I highly encourage you to explore and find your favorite place! It's all very beautifully detailed, you won't want to miss it. ^^

Thanks so much for this!! I had no idea where to go in the new maps, I was just running around so lost. I kind of wish they just left in the old maps and added the new ones into a new zone, but I won't complain too much as the new ones look stunning and you definitely can see the hard work put in!!

Ahh I was unaware they did this, as I had a briefgap between 2011/12 and 2014 where I didn't play, and when I logged in in 2014 I still had everything ;3; So I assumed they didn't delete. Understandable if they do though. I hope there is a way of getting it back but, most likely not x.x
