Screenshots / Fay, the silver lioness, photoshoot
« on: June 05, 2019, 11:27:47 pm »
So I needed to get a screenie of - arguably - one of my most adorable characters, Fay, the silver lioness, for her upcoming YouTube movie (June 10!) and I loved them all so much I just had to share them. Let me know which is your fave! (I need help picking a thumbnail...)

[I know this might get bumped onto another forum thread but just wanted to get it out there]

Somehow, it has now been 5 years since I uploaded "Lenny: The Fastest Lion." I'd just found Feral-Heart a couple of months before and thought, "huh, I wonder what it would be like if I made my own Lion-King-ish movie?" I uploaded it 5 years ago today and in a week it got... 50 views. However, the feedback I got was encouraging including one comment that said "you should make more like this, you'll go far with it," and so I did and the rest is history :)

I'm not going to lie, I've had a lot of ups and downs over the past 5 years. I worked at Wal-Mart then finally got my break as a motorsports reporter at FOX Sports. Consequently, I decided I was going to quit Feral-Heart to build on my career but then our department got laid off and I spent 2 years as a dry cleaning delivery driver. Now, I've finally landed a regular staff-job which is motorsports themed and I'm able to enjoy life again, but throughout all those ups and downs I've always been able to come back here and enjoy getting away from it all in the world of Feral-Heart and share a few laughs and memories in my Feral-Heart movies. I confess there aren't a lot of users on here I can say I know too well but, looking back at the past 5 years, I'm not sure I'm going anywhere soon so I hope I get to know more of you in the near future and make some more movies and have some more laughs as Lenny continues to search to find out if cheetahs exist, and Shairi tries to find a way to keep a roof over her head. Thanks again everyone!

Other Games / My hobby/Lenny the lion goes racing
« on: March 13, 2019, 06:04:01 pm »
If you've watched any of my YouTube videos you've probably figured out that I love motor racing. Well, I'm also in an official iRacing Series called the Lionheart IndyCar Series. What makes iRacing different from a regular racing video game? Well, it's made to be as realistic as possible. Professional racing drivers use it to practice, professional mechanics use it to make car setup changes, artists use it to design car liveries and video people use it to create broadcasts. Every car on track is another person playing somewhere else in the world.

The Lionheart IndyCar Series is one such series that is broadcast and there's lots of cool prizes on the line. The champion (who will probably not be me, I finished 13th/50 in the points last season) gets $300+. Our series starts Wednesday night and the race will be broadcast live here: https://youtu.be/h4HnwaRFtc8

My real name is Samuel and I will be driving an obnoxiously loud orange and yellow car with green wheels so it will be hard to miss (picture below). I also may run a race later on in the season with my Machungwa63 logo on the car if possible. Just wanted to share this here in case anyone is interested in watching later tonight (broadcast starts at 10:45p ET). Here's mah ride:

And yes, I'm totally calling that yellow lion on the side, Lenny.

Hello everyone, I'm Lenny - the fastest lion on Earth - and I just made a new map! If you keep up with my movies, you'd know that a lot of them are filmed in a map I made called "Machungwaville."

Let's be honest, while it loads quickly and has been a good map throughout the years, it's a bit outdated. A lot of the buildings look the same and it's hard to tell what's what.

SO! Welcome... Orangeville!

First things first, this map will take a bit longer to load than normal but hopefully it'll be worth it once you get in. The first improvement is that there's actually a portal in the map now at the entrance that can take you back to the Cape of Distant Worlds:

Then the town kind of splits. If you go off to the left you'll go around a loop road with a bunch of houses. These houses include bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms and some have a fireplace:

If you go off to the right, you'll go up Mount Orange which has a mansion at the top of it with an indoor Jacuzzi:

Then, if you go straight, you'll find a bunch of commercial or industrial buildings (virtually all of which are labeled what they are, even though some are obvious). A church, an airport, a coliseum, a school, a jail, a hydroelectric power plant, etc.

Collisions I should explain:

-- There's a bunch of flowers in front of Pride Rock. If you stand over these you will start to swim. Press R and you can get up to the gates of heaven.

-- There's a well you can get stuck at the bottom off. While there is no water visible, there is a water collision at the top of the well. This way, you can swim down to the bottom of the well or, if you're stuck at the bottom of the well, you can jump up into the water box collision and swim out.

-- The glass-roof Coliseum. Is there really a glass roof? No. But there is an invisible box collision at the top of the Coliseum so that you can sit above the stage and watch all of the action going on. WARNING: The box collision isn't perfect. Walk too close to the edge and you could cause the glass to shatter and fall onto the stage below.

NOW THE FUN STUFF

Alright, there's something I like to call the "Five Gems of Orangeville" - try and find them! (Just be sure you don't accidentally get lost in hell!)

-- 5th most valuable: The health crystal (hmm... maybe this is near the hospital?)
-- 4th most valuable: Orangeville Pearl (near water maybe?)
-- 3rd most valuable: Lenny's riches (Lenny keeps all of the money from his acting hidden in the maze. I mean... bank)
-- 2nd most valuable: GOLD (Hidden in a residential building)
-- 1st most valuable: Santa's diamond (This makes Santa's magic possible. Yup, Santa lives in Orangeville! I'll let you find out where)

Now that we've build the town...

LET'S BLOW IT UP!!

OrangevilleBad features five destroyed houses, a plane in a nosedive, a plane crashed, a boat sinking, a tent blown away, and something's gone wrong at the power plant:

To access all of this, you'll need to download all three of the following files:

I haven't used Media Fire before so please let me know if there are any issues. Otherwise, have fun! And I'll probably try and get around to doing a live stream from this town soon.

UPDATE: I made a second "bad" map with an airplane engine on fire and Pride Rock destroyed:

UPDATE 2: I made a third and fourth "bad" map as I've been thinking about future scenes to film - the third one has the waterhole dried up and the store empty and the fourth one has a proper house fire.

Game Suggestions & Ideas / Clone a character
« on: January 19, 2019, 01:51:48 am »
On the screen when you're selecting a character you have the "Back," "Start," "Edit," and "Create" characters... I was wondering if it would be possible/at all desirable to clone a character?

The reason I would like it is when I'm making movies sometimes I like to make the characters change color throughout the film - for example, I've had scenes in my movies when I've had to turn Lenny into a "chicken" or cover him with soot after an explosion. It would be easier for me though just to have multiple Lennys on standby like "chicken Lenny" or "soot Lenny." Rather than rebuilding Lenny multiple times or going in and editing him each time, it'd be nice to just be able to clone the character and make little edits to each one.

It could also be handy for anyone who wants to make near-identical twins or something along those lines.

My big questions are:

1. Is this possible?
2. Is it desirable? My uses for it are very specific. I'm not sure if it's a feature anyone else would enjoy using.
