Feral Heart height map crash, nothing working!
« on: October 24, 2012, 06:51:17 pm »
So, I have had FH a while now, and I make a lot of maps, including taking requests. Everything worked fine, but out of no where, a  few days ago, I tried to enter a new heightmap into the map maker, and it crashed. So I re-made the heightmap and it crashed again! I restarted my computer etc etc. And nothing helped. I also tried a different heightmap, also new and that made it crash as well. The old heightmaps are fine, but all the new ones I enter make it crash. This is really annoying, because I have checked and im doing everything right, and nothing on any of the other forum posts has helped, I have a lot of maps that need making, so if anyone can help, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Possibly.
I recommend using GIMP for heightmaps.
This way you can make sure the image is the correct size and in greyscale mode. :3

Kov/red said this might happen. Just be patient. "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!"

Did you make sure to change the settings to grayscale? This happened to me and I realized I had forgotten to change it to grayscale xD Hope this helps!

While it is greatly appreciated that ye're tryin' to help another member out, let's not necro-thread old threads. Alright floof? Let the dead and inactive rest in peace. I'm aware ye' may not know though necro-threadin' old threads (aka: threads that haven't been discussed/posted in an extremely long while) is looked down upon here and isn't somethin' ye' should do. I advise stickin' to threads that have been newly created or recently posted in.
