What do you do when you can't sleep?

As mentioned abovefunction'so you do when you can't sleep?
The times you find yourself awake at silly hours of the night.

Some people easily drift off to the land of sleep as soon as their head hits their pillow.
But what happens to those who find it difficult to fall asleep, no matter how tired they may be?

Personally. I often find myself listening to music, chatting on Skype
, Steam, Viber, Facebook or other chat functions.
Playing games on my phone.
Writing poems or notes in my journal.
Youtube on my phone. (Yes. I always keep my phone by my side. ^^' )
Browse the Web etc.

I can also find it difficult to actually get to bed at normal hours (before 12am).
Where I sit and play games on the PC, watch a film, talk to people etc.

Why am I currently awake?
It's 3:51am and I actually have no internet.
I forgot do to something earlier before I went to bed, so I can't sleep..
Also, my cat is sleeping between my legs.. Silly little thing.
She's hurt and I don't want to move.
Which makes it even more difficult for me to concentrate on trying to sleep.
Skype and FH forum is a good excuse for me to still be awake.. I guess. :3
At least this time.

So. How come you're still awake when you shouldn't be?

Well I'm already a night owl as it is...and even in bed when I'm supposed to be sleeping I stay up on the forums or text, like right now lol.
But what to do when you can't sleep? Idk...I mean I usually try to listen to music but that ends with me making up a storyline or sort of video to go along with it in my head and that ends up keeping me up even more unless it's a new song or something. As said before I usually stay up on the internet as well and find discussions on the FH forums I can type about, like this one, it's a very good topic! Though I've been told that it's not good to stare at a electronic screen for a long time before you go to bed because it simulates daylight and sort of tricks your brain. Right now I'm a bit tired from watching myself type away but I'll keep stalking the forums until my body screams at me to stop.

When I can't sleep, I usually go on my phone and watch YouTube. After I get incredibly bored, I just go check on the forums and see what's happening at night, who's online etc. Just as I always realize that I always get angry about my Phone because I can't type properly and I always misspell words, I decide to go on my laptop quietly. And then I'll post a few posts, maybe go in-game for a little bit and then I realize all of my friends are ON at day. Off I catch some sleep then, I'm always tired at the end of being on my laptop. I usually can't sleep because something is bugging me so badly or because I watched a horror movie at night, I usually get scared but oh well.

Urgh...I hate it when I can't get to sleep. Especially if I have to get up early in the morning.
Usually I'd try reading a couple of chapters of a book or listen to some music through earphones. Reading tends to work best.
Apparently there's something about the blue light from laptops, computers, TVs and phones that makes it a lot harder to get to sleep if you've been on the computer or watching TV before going to bed. So if you peeps are wondering why you can't sleep, that may be why.

Draw, draw, Draw and play FH. I can't help but draw sometimes, especially when I can't sleep, so allot of the time I will go in game and simply ask people/friends if they want their characters drawn. Doodles doodles doodles doodles. -le doodles- owo

Whenever I can't sleep, bam, its off to the computer which I got off of before trying to sleep. My brother is always stealing my television so I can't watch that, plus when I get back up my parents are already asleep, so its either computer or complete boredom.
I choose computer because I love technology. The internet is my world. .u.

Well, I usually wake up around 3 am
and thats the scary part. I believe in ghosts, demons and all scary creatures so I turn on TV.
I can't fall asleep very well and I hear scary noises. Just my stupid imagination.

When I usually cant sleep, its because of stress, paranoia or fear. So to counteract that, I normally go onto youtube, type in a funny video I know and slowly let it cheer me up.

If that doesn't work, I'll put on a symphonic song I love and lay back and relaxing, focusing on the lyrics.

I might also read or watch and anime if i'm just wired and still wide awake

Roleplaying usually does help to some extent since i don't think about anything else but that when i go to bed after. x3 and sometimes you get crazy dreams.

Though if im feeling really down or upset, ill message my cousin that is normally online all the time until i feel well enough to go to sleep.
