How To Make A HeightMap [gimp]

Today I will be kinda showing how to make a heightmap

Step 1:

1. Click on 'New'
2. Resize the Width and Height to '513'
3. Click on Advanced Options.
4. Go to color space and change RGB to Grayscale; it won't work if you ignore this rule.

Step 2: Start being creative

After playing around with your brushes, you finally come up with your terrain! Ta-da
If you're still lost with the colors, I can break it down.
Black (background) = water
Gray (line) = Land
White (circle) = hill/slope/plateau

Step 3: Exporting

1. Click New > Export As...
2. Click Windows (C:) > Feral Heart > Media> Terrians
3. Rename file and don't remove PNG
4. [yourmapname].png and click Export.

Step 4:

1. Open FeralHeart
2. Go to Map Maker
3. Click World and retype the png name of your terrian onto the 'Terrian Height Map'
4. It should pop up in the right hand side and display then.

At beggining it's better to go into FeralHeart > media > terrains > defalut and open defalutTerrain file on GIMP since once it crushed my game when I did it like above. But everything except that is amazing, it will help lots of people!
