Game-making Software
« on: March 21, 2014, 05:24:59 pm »
Hey guys! I'm asking all of you, from your personal experience (if you have any), what is the best video game making software? For models, maps, and interaction actions and such... I am very familiar with Maya (so please don't list that), and know my way around the block with that sort of thing.

Any suggestions? I prefer if it's free or very cheap.  :)

Thanks in advance.

You mean like how to make things like Feral Heart/Impressive Title?
If so then: Microsoft Visual C++
Blender 2.69

I know this because I made my own IT server. cx Hope that helped. c:

To create a game, or program for any matter, you need have some knowledge in computer programming. If you don't, I'd recommend picking a programming language such as C++ or Javascript and simply learning it! You can find tutorials all over the internet.

I myself use "Code::Blocks" in C++: Clickie me

I also heard Microsoft Visual C++ is good, so I'd recommend trying that too.

Here's what Code::Blocks looks like with a mini-program thingy:

Good luck with your game. :)
