so u just need help with a terrain mask?
here ya go (if ya use gimp)

1. Open your heightmap

2. From there open a new canvas
  2a. make sure the new canvas is 513x513
  2b. make sure its RGB color

3. Go to your heightmap that you have open and hit select> all
  3a. you know its selected when the dotted lines are moving
  3b. go to edit>copy

4. Back to your new canvas
  4a. Go to windows>dockable diologs>layers
  4b. Hit "new layer"
  4c. Click on the new layer and go to edit>paste
  4d. anchor floating layer and set the transperancy to 50%

5. Now go back to your plain white canvas (you may close the heightmap now, and click 'dont save"
  5a. click the fill bucket and fill the white canvas (which has your terrain map as a guide) with bright red (color key at the bottom)
  5b. Choose any brush and color with the lime green
  5c. Then do the same with blue

6. When done delete the terrain mask layer and u should have your terrain mask colors.
  6a. blur them together for better and more realistic affects
  6b. when saving as save it to the same place u saved ur terain mask to
  6c. name it whatever u want
  6d. the name must end in Mask.png
  6e. save it as .png, open FH, and type in the correct files.

THAR U HAVE EET! xD

{color key}
bright red= red 255
blue= blue 255
green= green 255

hope this helps :P

By the way when you make the map for people to download I recomand Mediafire downloads as a ZIP file.

1: right click on desktop and click new
2: then click compress zip folder
3: re-name folder
4: go to your exports and get all the objects, sky, weather and maps you need
5: drag them into the zip folder
6: Upload to media fire.

GOOD LUCK!
