Game Help / UI Mods and Add-Ons
« on: July 10, 2019, 02:38:52 am »
I tried to look for the UI mods in the Feralheart Creations section but couldn't find what i'm wanting. I'm trying to find links on how to change the character creation background (white as the sun) and the HUD/UI (whatever its called and I hope you know what i'm talking about.)

Questions:
1: Would it be possible to merge the old FH worlds and new FH worlds together in a future update?
2: In Feralheart Creations, why is there not a music section? (being a passionate musician and future composer myself, I had a few ideas for future the future soundtrack of this game.)

Concerns:
 - I am very concerned for the game's life cycle because it doesn't have a roleplaying drive as it used to back before the update. I know nostalgia gets the best of us, but genuinely speaking, there isn't a huge encouragement on roleplaying as much as there was.

Suggestions:
1: For the ears in the character creator, I would like the 'Hyena Ears' to be renamed 'Spotted Hyena Ears' as since there are 4 different types of hyenas, the other 3 hyenas do not have round ears like the spotted one does. (I might not be realizing that there's a feature to add in your own ears, but for the default versions' sake. Just a little thing I noticed.)

2: Better optimization. Even on my beefed up and spec'd up computer (i7-6700 and RX 480 8GB) it should be running smooth but when it gets crowded it slightly (not terribly) lag or not be at a smooth 60 fps.

3: Host a live stream on Twitch or YouTube taking suggestions making it easy to connect with the game's audience more.

Other: I appreciate the fact that you all decided to take feedback. This game means a lot to me, (its how I became a furry) and i've had to see great games go away for no reason. Keep working your tails off on this game.

Game Discussion / Re: What was old Feral Heart like?

joining in 2012, this changed me and a lot of others. the game felt inviting, popular but yet you could do fine by yourself. it didn't feel forced, it was there 24/7. the community was way different from now. my younger self always stayed up on my old laptop until 5am roleplaying, having fun F3ing people with friends, trolling, etc.
there was a sense that there was always an open roleplay for everyone. this was before discord and the only way to have a website was through forums.

spawning in lonely cave, you get options of where to go. ficho tunnel was usually where all the edgy gothy wolves were. one of the portals, bonfire island was where the adoption center, mate center, TLK roleplays, horse and human roleplays were usually happening. it was fun to sit in skype calls and F3 a bunch of the people that looked funny, and looking at chat and general chat to see what people were typing up. general was removed around 2014 or 2015 i believe

next was fluorite plains, the infamous stone bridge, cape portal, L island, this map is a lot to explain. all of the mapless roleplays happened in this very map. stone bridge and general chat were the home of the advertising in the game, warrior cats were everywhere, this was a grand time to roleplay. it had many varying levels of literacy, realism, and features. some were semi-literate (meaning they used *'s/x's/-'s to convey an action. ex: -carries a box-) and literate being like a book. there was something for everybody.

i would ramble on about the other maps, but playing the game during this time was great, and if the map change didn't happen, the game would be thriving. yes you can download the old maps, but some people don't have enough storage, don't have the time or skill, or just think it would not be the same as the old game.

Richtofen the Striped Hyena

Richtofen / 17 / Male

so i've been playing the game since 2012 because a friend introduced me to it
you've most likely seen my user name as "Wolf named Coda" and hoh boy is that long gone now
and you might have also seen me with my galaxy demon character, Venus.

some of the things i like are:
- technology
- call of duty zombies
- spicy chips
- mtn dew
- playing upright bass and bass guitar
- vrchat (i have YET to get a vr headset ree)
- hyenas
- orchestral music
- retrowave/synthwave
- symphonic death metal
- grindcore

i don't like
- whistling

my two best instruments are double bass and bass guitar, with double bass being my first instrument i took seriously. i been playing it for about 6-7 years now and have made history in my area with it. i've been in very high level orchestras and taken a lot of awards and honors to be in each and every one of them.

here is one of the pictures with my bass! i censored my face and people in the window but yes i do have red hair
plus this is a new bass that i bought and its so pretty oml

i am from tennessee but i was born in northern kentucky into a musically inclined family

this is all i have for now, but i'll constantly update it to what i think fits this bio!

i don't wanna move out of the US but if given a choice i'd say Germany. as a classical musician and a double bass player i'd love to see all the orchestras and the old double basses there
