Game Help / "Cannot Find Map File" - helpme.

Hey,

So, I'm making a map pack at the moment, and am trying to export the things. :O
The map that connects to Cape of Distant Worlds works fine, I can hop in and out of that no problem. The other four maps, all branching off said connecting one - they get "Cannot Find Map File" whenever I try to jump through the portals in the connecting map to get to them. WHY? How do I fix this? What needs to be put into the files to make them work? (I'm using a copy of the FH files to test it, so I know there is something missing.) Help appreciated!

I recently (Well, I started using it recently, anyway) got a tablet to draw on! I'm giving digital art a go, practising on many unfortunates to make my technique and such better. I figured I might as well create an art thread, so uh. Here's my art thread. And here you are. I'm quite enjoying all my little drawings of other people's characters, so this should be a nice project to keep running.~

I'm doing requests here, the TEMPLATE of which will be in the post below. If you don't request in the TEMPLATE, then no art for you, sorry.

Please keep in mind, these won't have the level of shading and detail I usually have on my persona projects, for a simple reason; it takes too long and I don't have much time on my hands. Sorry. c:

I've removed my personal art from this thread - only Requests, Trades (and maybe a few Gifts) to be found here. If you'd like, I am doing requests. See the post below, and thank-you for taking the time to check out my little thread.~

NOTE:
- I also do art trades. Presets, meshes, other art, I don't really mind! PM me on it. This is the character I usually have drawn:

- Request may take a little while due to life things.
- I'd like to be credited on any requests I may do.
- When requests are CLOSED, I don't take more; nor do I save spots.
- I also two two characters at once, whether two of yours, or a yours and a friend's... even gifts for others!
- I do singular gifts for others, too.
- I will accept two different requests from the same person... but triple is probably too much.
- Floofs are appreciated!
- I can also, as a request, do commission banners of a group, for a website or some such.
- Feel free to let me know if I get something wrong.~

Request/Find Meshes / Default FH mesh list?

Hello there.

I'm not actually looking for a mesh in itself, but rather a list.

What are the default meshes that FH gives? Because some are provided in Object Maker (such as the Plateau) while others like the Elephant Skull are there; but not provided in the Object Maker 'Group' area, and you have to 'make' them into a proper mesh yourself.

So far I know of (the not-provided ones):

ElephantSkull.mesh

ElephantSpine.mesh

Cliff.mesh

Rockslab.mesh



Please, what are the others (if any)?

It might be reasonable to assume all the meshes in the public maps of the game are in there somewhere... like the sky-islands of 'Sky's Rim'.

Game Help / Blender 2.57 and Windows 8?

Ello,

So, I recently changed from Windows 7 to Windows 8 (I don't have a Mac) and now when I try and open Blender I get

"This app cannot run on your PC".

What should I do... I don't know how to downgrade my driver, nor how to make it compatible with my PC. Is there an earlier version of Blender that works with Windows 8, or something I can do so Blender'll work? I'm not changing my Windows back, so it's gotta be Blender that changes. c:

Game Help / Map problem - Marshmallow buildings!

Ohhai,

So, I'm making a map and stuff. I know when that lil annoying glitch happens (some meshes just decide to be marshmallowy coz they can) when you export them. So, it happened with a sofa, and a temple building thingy. I stuck the sofa files in my_objects like I usually do when this happens - fine and dandy!

It works in my online FH, no problems.

Tried the same with the temple thingy files: NOPE.

Here's what it looks like:  


The meshes that you CAN see are separate to the building, btw. Of no relevance. Help?

Site/Forum Help / Paying for Requests?

Hiiii, (IF this needs moving, go for it!)

This is not a technical error, more a content one. c: And it's not an error, either, but merely a query on my part.


Confused?

So, I recently ventured into the 'Art' and 'Preset' sort of area of the forum (Dayum, dem artistic people) and it came to my attention that many people were posting requests for art and such.

Here's the confusion:

- Some said their art is 'free'. (Pretty self-explanatory).
- Some said 'paid'. (DA points I think, not real money.)
- Others said 'trade' (Swap one art for another, or a preset or something.)
- Some did not specify.

And that last one is the confusing one. What do you do, when they give you your art? Say thanks, floof them and leave? Is there a secret bro code one must do? :3

Just a little oddity of a question, if you'd be so kind as to answer it?

Request/Find Meshes / Water trough? (Please lock - it's been found!)

Hellur,

So, I've been searching for a oh... 2 days now? (Mind you, this means almost constant searching and trying every single variation of 'water trough' in google/feralheart plus bargaining by soul in favor of finding said mesh).

AND I CAN'T FIND A SIMPLE WATER TROUGH MESH.

And this irritates me because I KNOW they exist - I've seen them in maps. Hence why I didn't want to ask about it - I knew it was out there somewhere. But, oh that elusive water trough! :c

*falls to the floor* I choose you! Please help me find a simple water trough mesh? They look bad when I try and make them out of random shapes and other meshes in weird proportions...

Game Discussion / Another species?

So it came to my attention that there are A LOT of Equine RPs and characters out there. This is the horses and deer sort of species, if you didn't know. While they are often called "Worses" as they have to play on wolf avatars, I think they are a pretty cool idea. Now, I'm not sure if this is even possible, so I'm putting it out there to see what others think.

Would it be possible to have equine characters as well as feline and canine?

This would mean a third option when making a character, and deer, horses etc. could be a varied in size/species like the options we already have. Is this a good idea, or are people happy with the canines and felines?
