« on: January 28, 2015, 02:15:28 am »Hikari had a future ever since she was born. Her mom knew this very well. Sometimes, even her siblings would agree. But her thoughts slightly changed at the worst moment of her life.
Hikari leaped on her brother, Victor, as they tumbled through the grass. Playfully she cuffed him around his lobe when he returned with a small nip to her axis. They made a great team. Don't you wish your brother or sister could get along with you so well?
When their mom, Dotto, separated them, worrying they may hurt each other badly, Hikari felt a hunger pain swirl in her belly.
"Mom, I'm hungry!" Hikari blurted. The pup was weaned, so she just couldn't silently crawl up to Dotto and drink her milk anymore. Her mom only nodded and nosed at their father, Victor. Ah, well, the pup Victory is actually V.J, because of his father. Victor nodded and raced off for a hunt. As mom went to go help, Hikari started play wrestling with her brother once more.
She leaped on him with pride and lightly slammed her paws on his back. He swerved his head to take hold of her hackles and pull, as if trying to pull her hair right off. Together they laughed and played and her other siblings played as well, until a giant shriek sounded through the forest.
"What was that?" Tiny, one of Hikari's sisters, whined.
"It's probably just the prey daddy and mommy got!" King, another brother of Hikari's, suggested.
"But I can smell canine blood, guys! We should go check it out!" Daisy, the last sister of Hikari's, announced.
When the pups heard the words "canine blood", they rushed to its scent trail. When King went slowly ahead and through a bush, he whimpered loudly and the tang of more blood filled the breeze. Hikari, V.J, Tiny, and Daisy gasped. Hikari gulped down a wad of fear. What was happening behind that bush?
They sneaked through the bush and saw a huge rampaging bear, fighting against the father. But when Hikari saw mom and King dead, tears swelled in her optics.
The fight was brutal. The bear used its massive mitts to knock Victor side to side. He tried to chomp it down, but the bear always bluffed him with even harder attacks. When the bear slammed one of its paws at Victor's neck, blood sputtered through his maw. His mandible and maxima was drenched in the red iron liquid as he fell to the ground as a lifeless body.
"No!" Daisy screeched. Immediately without thought the female pup slashed her cleaves at the bottom feet of the bear. In surprise it fell down, but got back up again. Daisy leaped and tore her small ivories into its muzzle. But Hikari, V.J, and Tiny watched in horror as Daisy was taken off by the bears front paw and flung into its mouth. With a gulp the pup was swallowed. The three pups immediately ran. V.J went to opposite way than Tiny and Hikari. The two female pups scampered, but Tiny tripped on a root. The bear crushed her spine with its paws and ran after Hikari. But she turned to face it. Its treacherous eyes were filled with rage. But hers was flaring with revenge. She leaped at the neck and sank in her fangs. She sent it to the ground as she escaped.
The only thing she needed to figure out was if she was the last one of her type of wolf.
