B I O G R A P H Y



Prologue - Silence


Silence. That was what welcomed small Rossenan into the world. No words, no sounds, just a warmth surrounding her and the feeling of a small being constantly kicking her. This was all she really knew of the world for the first week of her life. When her eyes and ears finally agreed to work - she finally saw what this scary world had to offer.

Her first sight she can remember is her mother's warm eyes, and soft words from her maw as the first sound - so sweet, so loving. Refreshing. Her second memory? A pup the same size of her screaming in her ear in confusion at the world. While she was amazed, this being called a 'brother' was terrified, and hide in his mother's pelt that was always shimmering with laughter.

Her father was the third wolf she would meet officially, a tall gray wolf with little words to offer, just nudges of reconcile - warm gazes, and stern growls to correct her. A simple being, easy to read.


Chapter I - First Words


Her first words were "I'm scared".


Thunder rippled through the air, causing the ground to rumble. The little pup didn't understand what was going on as this was her first storm. Her mother - her warmth - her voice, all said it was alright. She merely smiled at her, calming her down the best she could.

Her father did not return from his hunt for hours, and Cullo kept pressuring their mother to answer about where he was going - to no answer. Soon that warmth was turning burning hot with worry. When day broke, her mother was gone, standing outside the den, frozen. She had never seen her mother look so cold, so lifeless - so drained. The red she-wolf was staring at the large brute's body stuck under a tree - he was dead, lifeless. Such a strong presence was suddenly gone, and Ross discovered how cold death could be at an early age. Her mother lost her warmth, and all her happiness was now confusion and aloof - she couldn't think straight - it was truly like her other mind that made her whole was killed along with their father.


Cullo took it the worst. His usual non-stop talking ceased, and all his questions along with it. He grew up fast, and as soon as he learned to hunt, he would leave the lone cave to find something they could all feast on. Ross didn't learn how to speak too well for the most part, and the small family's conversations became mostly nods and grunts. To this day, it has affected her social skills immensely in the way that she doesn't pick up on social skills at all or tones of voice.
