Why the Lack Of Small Eyes?

I've noticed a lack of small eyed characters, most characters are usually big eyed (or even the max size eyes, which I find a little creepy). So what's the lack of small eyes about?

Yeah they do make the characters look odd depending on their physical attributes, but each to their own.

My character Doggy the pitbull has quite tiny eyes, if she had bigger eyes it would take the pitbull look away.

Tiny eyes look angry on most characters?
Huge eyes look fine on cartoon styled characters. Tiny ones on like... giant things

I generally go with the big eyes, but it is personal preference~

I always leave the eyes in default size

I go with big eyes because they appear nicer and cleaner on my characters. Small eyes are barely visible and look funny to me lol.
