                            ~History~
The Caline was created by mating a Canine to a Feline(ik its impossible.but if it did happen,this was the     outcome.o-o)Northern Calines were discovered in the late 1800's by a European scientist.Ever since the discovery, many people started hunting Calines for their precious silky coat, and for showmanship.They were hunted to near extinction in the mid 1900's.Until one British settler took in a mated pair of Calines and bred them.She then released 40 Calines into GreenLand;One of the most remote places on Earth.Now, the Northern Caline is now one of the most dominant animals near the top of the food chain.
                                                        
                          ~Behavior~
Calines are timid animals, but they CAN get violent!Males have
an aggressive nature and dont tolerate presence from other
animals.Females are usually shy and fearful of larger animals,
but when defending their Kips, they turn aggressive.
                                                        
                              ~Diet~
Calines are carnivores.They will feed on birds,lizards,eggs,and
anything they get their paws on.                                            
                                                        
                           ~Habitat~
Calines inhabit the remote lands of GreenLand.Their fur
is silky,and thick to keep them warm in their frozen habitat.  

~Mating Behavior/Reproduction(CONTENT MAY BE GRAPHIC)~
When females go into heat,females wander around spraying a "perfume" like substance
to attract suitable males.When males find the scent, they start chirping and yowling.
Females would respond with a high pitched bark.When both find eachother, the
male would trot around the female in an elegant way.Then he sprays her with a
scent for rival males not to touch the female he has.The male then would try to
impress her with different vocalizations and displays. If the female accepts, she would
lay down and flick her tail.The male would then lick her for hours on in until she
shows receptiveness.If the female shows she is receptive, she will crouch.Calines
have a peculiar way of mating.The male would crouch over her, and begin mating like
a canine while crouching.At the near end of mating, they would go into a "dog
knot" or tie like canines.Mating for Calines can last over 38 minutes, depending how long
they mate.They mate in late winter, so the kips are born in late pring or early summer.                                                                                                   
                                                    
                        ~Kip Rearing~
Gestation lasts about 5-6 months.The female would make a den on the beach.
  The beach den would be made out of wet sand, dry sand, and any foliage.When
  time to give birth, the female would crawl into the 10 foot deep den and wait.
  Giving birth can last about an hour.If a female is a first time mother, she will only
  have 3-5 Kips.But if its an experienced female, she will have 5-10 Kips.Kips feed
  off their mother until they are 3 months old. Kips grow slowly during the first 3 months
  of their life.After they are weaned, they start growing slightly quicker.Kips stay with their
  mother for 1 year(sexual maturity age),Or stay with her for a while longer.Kips are
  vulnerable to wolves, and any feline.  
                                                    
                             ~Sociality~
Calines are pretty social animals.They live in family units.Gangs contain 6-10
members, Mobs contain 12-15 members,Packs Contain 16-20 members, and Clans contain
30-40 members!They are lead by an alpha pair, or a single leader.(Females can be a single leader)

             ~Colors and Markings~
Males are dark browns,dark reds, and blacks.(rarest color:Gray)
Females are whites,creams, and peaches.(rarest color:blackish red)
Male Markings:Siamese(tail) Bubble(body) Ear Rim(head)(Marking colors:Black,White,Or
Brown.THEY MUST BE EITHER OF THESE COLORS.)
Female Markings:Stripe(tail) Husky2(Body) Siamese(head)(Marking colors:Black,White 
or reddish brown.THEY MUST BE EITHER OF THESE COLORS)
BOTH GENDERS MUST HAVE WHOLE SLIT EYES.Eyes can be any color.

       ~Vocalizations~
Calines sound like canine and feline sounds mixed.Their howl is really a yowl,
They can bark, but very high pitchly,they can hiss and purr,they can snarl and growl like
canines, and they can make chirping noises(only during mating season).

Personality:Very shy but is very aggressive to calines who get on the wrong side of her
Biography:She was one of the few kips in her litter to survive a rival caline's attack on her siblings although she, two other siblings and their father lived, their father abandoned them. Her siblings didnt survive because they got killed by a mountain lion, but because of her incredible hearing and smell, she had sensed the threat before it even attacked so she hid, she tried telling the others to come but they didnt believe her and she witnessed two more of her families deaths...

I love this species! I would make one, but im already making my own and i like sticking to one species at a time.

This is very descriptive on everything, especialy mating, which most only briefly go over.

I think ALL species topics should be like this!
