Game Help / Re: Account Registration?
« on: November 08, 2015, 05:26:31 am »
Your account might have been deleted due to inactivity (i believe a year and a half is the limit). Keep checking back to see if registration is open (you already knew that though, also, the offical tumblr tries to keep track of when it opens so if you use tumblr it might be worth it to follow).

Forum Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Feral Heart Yearbook?
« on: November 06, 2015, 07:49:26 am »
It wouldn't be as much work if it was in the form of a thread here on the forums, not exactly in the usual yearbook fashion with "pages" (Photoshoping images and text together to create a digital book). With only two months left in the year, however, it might be difficult to get one done for this year within that short time limit. I think that if enough people could participate in the voting and nominations (perhaps rounding up a few dedicated members for this project and asking the staff for their approval of this and receiving a sub-board for it on which to post the voting/nomination threads, and ultimately the "yearbook" itself) and you might have a shot in getting a yearbook done before 2016 swings around.

As you can probably already tell by the (UPDATED) in the topic name, the opening post has been updated with links to the Livestream channel and the map link! Didn't receive as many presets as I thought, so they have been combined into the map download rather than the separate download as I originally planned. Party still isn't until Friday, so hopefully y'all can download the map between now and then.

Thanks. We spend a lot of time planning for these parties, glad a few people out there appreciate them.

I have not received any fhp files for the presets download yet. Really hope nobody's message was "eaten" by the forum, but if that was the case you may post a link to it here in this thread.

In other party-related news, the map is coming along nicely and I should be able to post a few previews for it soon.

-Additional Notes-

We usually do parties fairly often, if you are a regular you'll notice the absence of contests and prizes, we will be doing those again at the next party (our Christmas party), we still have to finish the Summer Party's prizes and I didn't want a huge backlog for the prize-makers. Please wait for our next party if you are interested in winning prizes.

Game Discussion / Re: The sterotypical cloud of death

I'm gonna have to go with "Trolls" as my choice, probably not the biggest stereotype in Feralheart, but certainly a loathed one. I'm not talking about people who run around on stereotypically "noobish" characters (although I suppose a few would for ironic purposes), I'm talking about those people who will go out of their way to ruin your day. All these trolls really want off you is a reaction to their malicious shenanigans, and boy do some people really give them what they want. I won't go into any deeper discussion on my thoughts on these personalities (I don't want to sound too malicious myself here), but yes, this is my pick and those are a few of my reasons.

Game Discussion / Re: [Un]Popular Character Genders - Ingame
« on: September 23, 2015, 07:26:52 am »
In my experiences I tend to see a higher percentage of characters with "unusual genders" within in-game roleplays and groups than I do the usual crowd who use the "name gender species" naming style. I might be a little biased as the only rp/group I am in is one of these, but I think non-realistic animal/creature roleplays especially tend to have more of these characters, possibly because complicated biology (especially in cases of having multiple reproductive systems or having no reproductive system) could make assigning a curtain sex or gender more difficult.

I do tend to use these "unpopular genders/sexualities" on my characters (I'm aromantic myself so I mainly rp as aromantic characters). It's really just a question of personal comfort for me.

Game Discussion / Re: What do YOU think should be in the next update~?
« on: September 21, 2015, 05:49:28 am »
The odds of an update happening at all are pretty slim, sadly (the creator seems to have abandoned this game to focus on real life).  However, I would greatly love if wings were more detailed and the flight animation changed to an action that actually resembles flight (flight was literally the last update we got and it feels so unpolished). The userbase over the years has made tons of item and marking packs and I wish it was possible to have them all installed at once (ex: You don't have Person A's marking pack so you can't see those markings, however, you have Person B and Person C's packs and can see those with no conflicts between the packs). Of course, adding more maps, species, etc would always be great.

Game Discussion / Re: Zero Creativity

Black canines/felines really don't bother me much. I may dislike the practice of having a realistic character on 000 black, but I wouldn't force my stylistic opinions on them, it's their character and not mine. That said, I do have two characters who do have 000 black pelt colors, my former and current characters of The Kreptic Circle (formerly The Ebon Circle). It does bother me sometimes but since they are shadow-creatures 000 black does help that mental image, in my opinion. From personal experience though, it's best you don't assume what someones stylistic intentions are. Ask them, read their bio, you might be wowed at how some people recreate different characters, animals, whatever in this game.
