i downloadet it, was happy <3 but now its all strange. I cant log in and in the distand world map was water everywhere (where the others stil sit around and i was swimming xD )
But thank you anyways ^^ Long time since i was in feralheart and i was shocked by all the new maps xD

Try removing the 1_13_CapeOfWorlds map. I don't know if that is what was causing it or not, but it is possible, as I had the same issue. Decided to test the idea and didn't removed that, and the now current Cape doesn't have that issue.

Also, to the uploader, dude, thanks. Really glad ya did this. I kinda geeked out when I saw Ascension Island. A buddy of mine and I used to always race each other to the top.

Whoops, I was meant to remove the 1.13 Cape from the pack before I uploaded it since you can't get to it from the old maps anyway. Fixed now.

I think the maps have blacklisted since they're behaving the same way the rest of the original, unmodified 1.13 maps do. If I change the map file name to something other than "LonelyCave" it starts working but changing it back brings up the connection problem message again. I'll upload a fixed version and update the first post soon... ish.

Thank you so much for this! However, I am having a bit of trouble on mac. I can't seem to find a root file at all, so there's no way for me to move the maps. Any suggestions?
Watch the tutorial video on my first post, the root folder is the folder where Feral Heart is located not the root of your whole computer. If you installed the game the way Raz says to here all you need to do is open PlayOnMac and browse the game's directory and drag/drop the files into it.

Hmm... That shouldn't be happening since everything is being hosted on Google which should be seen as a safe website and it's just a .zip file. I'm guessing some antiviruses such as Norton Mcafee are being far too overly protective. :/

Finished Maps / Re: Old FH Maps!

I'm taking the download link for this pack. It's missing a large majority of the old maps and players using the updated pack won't appear in this version.

Do the media files include the old platforming rocks from the previous patch? If so, I might just download the media folder to use those old assets in some maps of mine.

It does include the object files however, they are packed into .fho files so you can't use them in the 1.15 editor.

Do you plan on releasing this as a remade FH thing?? Like... as its own game project and etc?

Or is it just kind of a test thing?

Well, originally it started off more of a goof around in Unity more than anything, but I really started to enjoy porting everything over and it kind of turned into a remake or something. I'm not sure yet, it will probably have to be its own game though because I can't make anything that ties into the current game without its source which Kovu still has. :/

I'll probably give it a new name and change the maps/models so it's not copying FH but that's still a while away I think. Right now I just want to get a framework done and prove (to myself) that something like this is possible since I haven't tried making anything multiplayer or this large before.

If there was someone with a character that had it's home at skys rim and could possiby be sent there would that help you in your quest?

Absolutely it would, but as far as I know all the characters were reset back to their home in Lonely Cave when 1.15 was released.

No, all the maps are blocked, the only reason why I got south pole is because it's linked to lonely cave and that isn't blocked since 1.15 also has that map, same for the cape of distant worlds and ascension island. Beyond that there's no way I can get the rest.

So, what you're saying it that if someone had a character that was headed to one of the maps that you're missing, there's information that is created while in the loading screen? Or?

And yeah, Ascension Island and Sky Rim are a plus, if you can get ahold of them too. I believe Ascension has the same height map as Bonfire but from what it sounds like, is that you need more data of the map.

Sorry, I'm terrible at explaining things. XD

I'm pretty sure I've already broken some rule by even making this map pack, so I'll try to keep the process to how I get heightmaps simple.

Basically, as soon as you go into a portal the map is loaded while at the same time (or maybe after) your game tries to tell the game server you've entered said map. However, since the admins have blocked people from going to the old 1.13 maps, after you go through the portal your game will time out and you get an error message saying you've lost connection to the server.

But if you don't click on the reconnect or quit options the map and its information is still loaded in memory and you can extract it with the right tools. For example, here I've gone from lonely cave to Ascension Island and even though I'm not actually on the map I can still browse its contents.



However, unlike community made maps the ones that shipped with 1.13 have some kind of block that prevents you from creating a map in the editor and pointing its destination to one of the maps that aren't connected to Lonely Cave.




So, unless someone knows how to bypass this and make the game load the 1.13 maps through one created in the editor, I don't think it's possible to get the remaining maps unless the admins remove the restriction. :(

Atlantis and Last Cave were the same, but I have no idea how to obtain them. I tried looking for ways to open the map files, but I derped and have no clue. Wish you luck though ^^
Nice work adding the portals to Lonely Cave ^^ Handy

I was thinking of adding ascension island too but there'd be no point without Sky's Rim also being in the pack I feel. So yeah, beyond this point there's no way of getting the information from the rest of the maps because if you try creating a shortcut map to say Atlantis or Sky's Rim the game will whine about the map not existing, probably because Kovu didn't want people making such things and bypassing the challenge of getting to those maps. But if anyone does have such a map please let me know because so long as you keep the game open on the loading screen to one of the disabled maps it's contents are still loaded in memory and I can extract it and remake it again. :D
