SOPA/ACTA/PIPA?

I think they're a good idea to fight against pirating!
It's good to defend copyright laws, but they're taking it a bit far. (Sign a petition!)
I am against them. (Sign a petition to stop them!)
What? (Check out the many helpful links below for more information)

This may make me stand out from others, but I think SOPA is a good idea, though they are taking it much too far! So for that I am against SOPA/ACTA/PIPA.

Final vote on CISPA is in early June. Check the front page for more information on how to oppose it.

S.O.P.A will never work. A lot of people will stop using the internet if it passes. All of the money S.O.P.A generate from protecting copyright? will be nothing compared to the money the government will lose when half of the population no longer pay for broadband. The government will realise they're losing money and will simply bypass the S.O.P.A law.

The government know all of this already, so S.O.P.A will never pass in the first place. :P

Heres a 'short little' video I've found on Sopa. It fails so hard~ BI.

Yes! ACTA can be STOPPED, like SOPA! I Know How! Be a HERO SHARE this ACTA Video

This isn't really related to internet censorship, but you may be interrupted by it, so I figured I would post a quick note.

The Canadian omnibus Bill C-38, also known as the "Jobs, Growth, and Longterm Prosperity Act," addresses many different laws and standings - some menial, others quite serious. There's the vague understanding (out of its 450 pages) that the bill repeals or amends several environmental and ethical legislations. Because of it being at the heel of the new Bill 78, and with internet privacy constantly threatened, it seems that "the government is trying to chip away at civil liberties" (RT: Black Out, Speak Out).

In protest, a reported 13,000 websites are going dark on June 4th.

You can more about it here:

BlackOutSpeakOut protest

TL;DR - In protest of Canadian omnibus Bill C-38, some 13,000 websites will be going dark on June 4th.
