Presets won't stay exported
« on: June 05, 2018, 04:48:41 am »
Every time I export my presets and go to wear them in-game, I can see them on my characters until the game closes. Then, when I open the game back up, the presets disappear from the characters. They disappear from the presets folder the second I log back into the game. Can someone help me fix this? I have some nice presets I'd like to wear...

I had this happen to me before. A little trick that I did to get it to stop was:
While the preset was still in the folder and I was still ingame, I copied and pasted a copy of the preset file to my desktop. Then after closing, I copied and pasted the file from my desktop back in the presets folder. Then when opening and closing the game, it didn't remove the files as before.

Let me know if this works for you, I hope it does. ^^

This happens if you log in with a different capital letter too.  I'm guessing that's not what's happening?
The Japanese concept of wabisabi:
The closest concept in english would be 'rustic'
They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?
"Because it was my favourite & I like it"

Yeah I had this problem with the preset sync once. Don't remember precisely what it is, but it has to do with what's in your regular "presets" folder. Either remove what's in there or ensure your own files are in there (depending on if/what's in there)

When you did my last suggestion, what folder did you first copy the preset file from: PrivatePresets or presets?

@Morgra: I copied from presets; my PrivatePresets folder is empty.
@Kiki: I've made sure my files are in there, but I'll try clearing it out next. [Update: Didn't work. u__u]
@Kuri: A different capital letter? Um... I don't think so. I use the same capitals every time I log in.

Try copying a version into PrivatePresets as well. And try a few times with this copy and paste. c: I think i've had to do it multiple times before.
