Mediafire itself is safe as the site it is, it's the file you download that matters whether it's safe or not and the user providing the download.

Mediafire works the same on a laptop as it would for a desktop computer.

Go to My Computer. There should be a folder marked FeralHeart either there or in the 'My Programs' folder. Click and drag the icon there. Once you've used it, it should be on your Start Menu.

i can't seem to find it :( the laptop had to be charged and shut off and i don't think it saved... :'( plus it's different to me...

i think i have to re-download sadly i'm not that smart with laptops in the first place but i'm not gonna find it in any folder.... :'( plus i'm trying to get fh+ but it's hard for me to figure out when i'm usually smart with both laptops and computers

Id stay away from FH+. Im sure ur just gonna run into more problems since FH+  is very buggy atm.
