i see that this is an area for suggestions? well, here i go! (might even bump with more suggestions if i feel like it)

  • inner mouth, ears, paws, and *possibly* even teeth should get their own color sliders. this promotes characters that use unnaturally colored accents in said areas. (shamelessly adding this because i love altering those sorts of colors in my own designs)
  • what's it called again.. heterochromia? if i'm correct? there should be an option to enable and disable character's eyes to be different colors. disabling it makes both eyes the same color without having to copy the RGB code back. on the other hand, is it possible for characters to have two different types of eyes as well? i.e. left eye is cloudy/blind and one is not. this would be excellent for characters with eye scars. maybe separate color sliders between pupils, irises and schlera, too.
  • this one's a LONG shot, but what about interactive companions/pets like other games have?
  • add quests or something that makes the game more interactive! especially for people who don't have others to talk to that much. maybe add another "obstacle course" map like ascension island or hold ingame competitions every once in a while for minigames along with possible prizes. also, think about an ingame currency. how could it be obtained and what can it be used for? could there be new ingame mechanics specifically for it?
  • if new character models can be added, i suggest adding any of these just for a start of ideas; BUNNIES (please), goats, deer, horses, alligators/snakes/lizards and other reptiles, rodents (rats and moles), birds (can be large, walking birds like emus and flamingos or smaller flying birds like crows, owls and finches) primates like lemurs and baboons, bears, wild cattle species, wildebeest, weasels and ferrets. everything i could find that might be suitable for both the game and roleplay experience.
  • there should be more variation to the feline and canine models. wider faces, more room for even shorter snouts, etc. for example, if you were to create a tiger character or fox character it'd mostly be a struggle to even get it to look like what species you're aiming for. one thing is that, say, the feline's face stylization is a little too narrow to really imitate that of a tiger's face. on the other hand, i think body shape customization would be a HUGE help in setting your character's personality or getting the species just right. a lot of animals tend to have their head level with their body, a generally shorter body, or have a slightly more "hunched" spine (shamelessly mentioning this too for my characters oop)
  • add a few more scenic biome maps for more roleplay advantages. includes; a savannah or desert map, a dense woods map, vast plains map, foggy mountains/valley map, snowy tundra map (caves would sound good too), or a village-style map.

i really do hope this list inspires other possible features or future updates, these are just some ideas to work off of that i've had in mind for a while! i'm curious what other people would add to it as well

Game crashes upon clicking the edit or create buttons while mod pack is active

i'm not sure if it has only been happening in this update or in the past (because i haven't been using mod packs like this until now), but whenever i install a certain mod pack that modifies the following; "it changes the start screen, podium, splash screens, music and some fonts. it also changes the layout of map and buttons in game." and i try to mess with my characters by clicking "edit," "play," or "create," it crashes with no error message at all. the background music just stutters for a second and cuts off. not only that, but the textures of tufts get completely removed when it's active. and this is *ONLY* for tufts that have their own separate color, not tufts that "merge" with the body (it seems). they don't turn black and yellow, but rather in to completely white marshmallow tufts. if it's just the specific mod pack i'm using, i can link that as well.

I'm beyond excited for this update! I also second the desire to see the old maps back as well, for nostalgic reasons honestly aaaa

My only issue currently is that upon clicking edit on any character or pressing start, my game crashes instantly qwq

the same thing has actually been happening to me? but it's only when i have a certain mod pack on (it was podiums, menu modifications, sound modifications, etc) and it stopped when i replaced them back with the original files
if you have any of those on, most LIKELY podiums, i'd recommend reversing them until the crashing has been fixed :o
guessing that this isn't just my mistake, i might go report this to the bugs thread in a minute-

Eugh. Started up the game only to find all my characters markings had been turned black. Some of those colors took forever for me to get just right. :/// It's not like I write down the color codes for every character in my game. I'm really upset, as some of these characters took hours to make, and most mean a lot to me. Will this be fixed? Or will my characters just remain like this forever? I'm pretty dang upset with this, I hope it can be fixed.

For me, most characters i have whose markings have been turned black still have that marking color but only on one part of the body and i'm *pretty sure* that it's only the head marking, even if your character doesn't use a head marking at all. since the markings have been introduced to new and separate colors, i think that it turning black is just a default. check each and every single separate marking color for your characters until you find out which one has the colors (again, check the head marking first because that seems to be the main one) and write down the rgb code you find, then rewrite them on the other separate markings. all i really know, just a temporary fix. they shouldn't be lost forever!

this is probably one of the most exciting updates i've heard for any game like this in a while! this update and the idea of future updates is definitely going to revive me in this community. just reading "we have attained the source code" put me in a rush and THANK. YOU. SO. MUCH. for adding even more customization, the lack of color and tail size variation has been bothering me quite a bit (especially when trying to find something "exactly realistic" for certain characters)

i can't wait to see the dynamics of future updates, i'm so glad i saw this in my dA notifications, and good luck with adding more features!!!



***EDIT*** : agh.. i just realized i have to reinstall the entire game. still excited though. after going back through the replies on this, would things like mass markings still work if other modifications don't? currently all i really have is mass markings and preset sync

as for the music, i still have no idea what to do with it. friends suggested a rpg but that would be too short for an ost, but i could probably still recycle it for it servers. their use is still unknown, basically!
