Gonna be great if FP is coming back. That definitely looks like the good ol' stone bridge. It'll be nice to, well, go home. I spent practically all of my time out there in FP.

i downloadet it, was happy <3 but now its all strange. I cant log in and in the distand world map was water everywhere (where the others stil sit around and i was swimming xD )
But thank you anyways ^^ Long time since i was in feralheart and i was shocked by all the new maps xD

Try removing the 1_13_CapeOfWorlds map. I don't know if that is what was causing it or not, but it is possible, as I had the same issue. Decided to test the idea and didn't removed that, and the now current Cape doesn't have that issue.

Also, to the uploader, dude, thanks. Really glad ya did this. I kinda geeked out when I saw Ascension Island. A buddy of mine and I used to always race each other to the top.

I know a lot of you miss the game, and I will agree it is terrible they decided to do this over a holiday weekend. Not really what anyone wanted to start the weekend with. Though please I hope everyone will still continue to be patient and mostly focus on supporting the Staff team, and giving them any possible information they might need to make sure that our new security is even stronger. Our pleads will never reach the hearts of these four bored souls, but all we can do is send our love and support to the souls who are trying everything they can to get this game running back to optimal levels for everyone in this community.
Very true.
that's about the most we can do.

Do not fret though friends, the community will have its justice. Those who stand against us and the good that we stand for will only stumble and fall from their own wrong doings and foolishness. Karma comes to all. For now we staff focus first on establishing security to our user base and game. Appropriate action will be taken against those responsible for disrupting the peace.

We thank you all for you continued patience and support during this time. Know that work is still being done to get things back up promptly. We look forward to resuming normal in game activity soon!

I have no doubt that all ye' awesome staff will be able to fix this. And as much as people have said all this already, thank you all for trying to make this right.

hey, you guys are working on it, and as far i'm concerned, that's all that matters. we'll all be satisfied once this is dealt with and behind us, i'm sure.

My question really is what exactly did they hacked that made it necessary to shut down the online servers?
Got on as MODs. Shut down to keep them from getting on as other users as well, and also to prevent them from incorrectly using mod powers.
So they hacked it through the use of a in-game modification on the hacker's end?
No, MODs as in Moderators.
Oh. So he hacked into one of the moderator accounts and shut it down?
It's somewhere on the forums, but now it requires a lot of digging to find, so to sum it up: multiple people got into a couple moderator accounts, messed around with stuff, didn't shut it down but caused panic/confusion, they posted links to frame other sites (frame for lack of a better word), and they (people in charge of the game, not the hackers) had to shut down servers to keep everyone else safe/stop confusion.
yeah, shutting down the servers was a pretty much one of those "better safe than sorry moments.' besides, if these guys are able to hack moderator accounts, well...
In that case, hopefully these guys don't try it again and again. I hope the MODs can make a better security defense in case something like this happens again.
if there's one thing i've learned about hackers, is that once they start, they're always bound to try again. however i'm sure the mods will do what they can to prevent another "successful" run. the mods did say they're working on a more long term solution, but they know the players want back in so they just want to do a quick fix for now.

I've been flipping through the hacker's Tumblr posts, and they are definitely just trolls. They do, however, appear to be angry at our lovely staffers.
I bet my house they're just a load of butthurt troublemakers who were angry for being banned or something.
in all honesty, that would not surprise me in the least bit.

who can really say why these guys did what they did. it literally makes absolutely no sense to me. i mean with this, unlike some of the other online games i play in, there's no unfair advantage to be had by hacking. exploring and role playing. eh, not like it really matters though, not with how quickly the response came. just a matter of patience now.
