Canthir are long-eared felines, usually displaying vivid colors such as red, gold, blue, purple and green.
They live together in groups called clans, or tribes. Currently, there are two main clans, each containing their own sub-species of canthir.
-Lunar Clan-
Lifestyle: This clan specializes in hunting at night. They are given lean, slender bodies to ambush prey.
Origin: Tundra, swamps, and jungles.
Appearence: Their main fur colors are blue, purple, or green, and can contain patterns such as spots or stripes. Sub colors can be anything from lighter or darker pelt colors, to the distinct orange jungle-cat markings.
Eye Color: Red, orange, yellow or white.
-Solar Clan-
Lifestyle: Muscular bodies allow them to hunt large game. They prefer to live during the daylight hours.
Origin: Deserts, plains, and meadows.
Appearence: Main fur colors are red, orange, gold, and occasionally the rare white. Sub colors are usually brownish to white tints.
Eye Color: Blue, green, yellow or white.

*Names are usually based off of something celestrial.
*The Solar Clan males can have large, brightly colored manes, where as the Lunar Clan males never have full manes.
*Only Lunar Clan canthir can have spots.
*All canthir have a certain amount of back tuft, or mane, but not often on their legs.
*There are no black canthir.
