Land Urchins(Open species)

A species that is inspired by sea urchins, Land Urchins have some added abilities.

Story(?): Up from the water comes these monstrosities, Land Urchins, in the Feral Lands they have evolved to make the climb to land and spread more terror than sea urchins can spread.
Appearance:
Feline or Canine.
Color: A faded purple.
Eye color:A faded purple.
Markings: Cheetah(For the spikes).
Marking color: Gray.
Size:Tiny, all sliders tiny.
Items: Horns and other spikes until no more items can fit.

Growth: Due to mutations, they start with no spikes and gradually grow their spikes with age. When they gain their 5th spike, they climb out of the ocean and look for a surface to burrow into. They bore holes in surfaces using teeth that can even cut concrete, with the help of the horns that they use as feet to grip tightly. They like to stay in the weakest parts of surfaces and normally they find rocks to burrow into, but there have been recent sightings of Land Urchins resting in trees, even a shipwreck can haves these creatures inside it as they are more effective at tunneling in water.

I'm honestly terrified of these things! :,D Of course anything relating to the ocean scares the bejeebus out of me. But great job on this species nonetheless!
