Dog Town
"The city of the canines."

The History

In the once bustling city of Skypoint, various domestic canines run free and wild, and due to it being closely connected to a nearby forest, the occasional wild canine may be found roaming the great lands of a once beautiful nation of people. It used to be full of many people, the population was great, and it was a good place to live, however after an attempt at using radiation, the humans were forced to leave the city, and move somewhere else, a radiation leak causing many of the humans to become sick, and quickly die. The military has forced out all of the humans of the city,  yet those who tried to stay in the once wonderful city have died due to the sickness that comes from the radiation in the area.

The canines however are not as affected by the radiation, any house-pets were either taken, or left behind by their humans, while strays just remained the same, roaming the streets. The canines now own the city, and the city has been renamed to Dog Town due to this, but Skypoint is still used by most of the dogs who know about their home. No human dares go back to this radiation-leaked area, yet what most humans didn't know is that the radiation has gone nationwide, spreading to other towns and nearby cities and causing the same effect that happened in Skypoint to happen there, which is why- most of the canines believe that humans are extinct, as almost none are seen, unless from the occasional plane that travels by the city to see what has been going on.

Wolves, foxes, coyotes and other canines now roam the city, even the occasional feline can be spotted. However, as years went on, the radiation began to affect some of the canines, some dogs had mutated into beings that are dangerous to others- it has an affect similar to rabies, yet they are hyper-aggressive, and usually their brains began to think of other canines as food, and that- their only food, canine eat canine. The ones with this virus are random, it had seemed that almost any canine could get the virus, yet once more, as years went on, some canines grew immune to such a virus- and soon, the city was once more slightly safer then before, still, the rare 'zombie' dog may be found, but their bite isn't contagious- they are just as dangerous as any other random, aggressive canine in the city.

The radiation has advanced onto some canines, some canines that have been affected by the virus develop strange abilities, and don't become sick, but this chance is very few, and it seems only a limited amount of canines have been affected in this manner. They are immune, yet develop abilities most would note as weird. In this world, generations of canines have been born with powers and weird abilities, some canines are related to ones who have gotten the strange virus and have abilities of their own, but the majority of the canines in the city are normal.

You play a canine in this hard world. Times are hard, and food is pretty scarce in the city, do you have the will to survive?

The Locations

The Garden of Flora
Garden of Flora is a park that was once well-known in the city of Skypoint. Humans often went to this city due to how beautiful and stunning it was, it housed a lot of vegetation of the world, and it was an overall very pretty place, with flowers and plants everywhere, and even a river that splits through the park. However, this park has quickly become abandoned by the humans due to the radiation. The park is in the main area of the city, in the center- it has a river run through it with a bridge going across it, and trees are almost everywhere- creating the image of a beautiful forest.

The Mainstreet and City
The mainstreet used to be a lively place of crowds of people bustling about, but now- it is usually inhabitiated by canines that roam the city, doing important errands or just chatting with one another. There is at points and occasional fight, but usually, the mainstreet is pretty much a rather friendly place, but the alleys that are around are pretty dangerous. Dogs can been seen around the street, doing various things in the city and what not. The city is huge, and is connected to a great forest. They are many houses that are on the mainstreet, and most of the time, the houses are open and free to be claimed. Most houses in the mainstreet are claimed by the various dogs that inhabit the city.

The Junkyard
The junkyard is pretty large, and it fits its name, there is a lot of junk.  The junkyard is guarded by steel fences, with barbed wire on the top and a gate at the front, however- the gate is usually opened. Holes are found in the fence as well, made by multiple dogs- so there is really no point for the fence anymore. There is much trash in the area, yet it is the main area dogs go to find food- which is why this large area is usually were most fights break out. Food can be often found in the trash- but be cautious, a wrong pull of an item can bury a dog in the mass amount of junk in the yard.

The Playground
The playground is a very old one indeed. It used to be greatly used by the humans, yet you know the story of them leaving, and now- it is rusted and breaking. Some dogs occasionally come to play on the equipment, yet most of it is unstable and half-sunken in the ground. It is a well-known area, as in its pretty much in the main part of the city, it is a pretty abandoned area though, and dogs aren't usually seen there. It is also pretty dangerous, as you can easily injure yourself on the broken equipment.

The Pub
The pub is an abandoned building in the city that is well-known by most dogs. Some strays that used to be in the area before the humans left were often given a drink by some of the drunk people in the pub, but now that they are gone, the canines have taken this building over. Due to the mass amount of alcohol here, dogs are often found here, and even though it is bad for them, most dogs are too drunk to think about that. The basement is were most of the alcohol is kept, and most of the time- dogs are found taking bottles and smashing them open, and lapping up the liquid.

Soothing Waters Hotel
Soothing Waters Hotel is a beautiful hotel that hasn't been used for years by the humans. This area has become a place for the dogs. This hotel is used often by the canines that roam this city, due to how big it is, and the quality of the rooms in this beautiful hotel. The rooms are huge, almost all are first-class, and most of the rooms are in a good condition to be used easily by dogs, which is why most of the rooms are claimed by the dogs in the city, becoming their permanent home. Soothing Waters Hotel has at least twenty floors, each floor has about fifteen rooms on it, which is why most dogs have taken such a liking to it. Even the elevators work, and most of the dogs are smart enough to know to press a paw to the buttons leading to each floor.

The Beach
The beach is a large-sized, sandy area where the water laps at the shores, like most beaches. The typical salty-water smell is here, and the soft, cold sand is full of crushed seashells of different sizes are here, this beach is lost most you'd find in other areas. The sea is usually calm, and with it being summer- this place is usually full of dogs trying to cool off in the waters. It also is a place most dogs go to hang with friends, bask in the sun, or overall enjoy life. Seagulls inhabit this area, and sometimes are a snack for some of the canines who go to the beach.

The Dog Park
The dog park was once a large area where humans used to bring their pets to train and overall have fun with other dogs of their own kind. It wasn't known for its beauty, but for more of its giant field. Dogs sometime use this area for their own use, if they want to make friends, just hang out in the dog park. The field is huge- and there is even some agility equipment and some woodland paths for the dogs to explore. This place is pretty peaceful, and dogs usually chill out here.

The Pound
The pound was once an area were strays were caught and forced to be in this building until they were adopted. Many animals were euthanized in the past, due to the massive amounts of strays in the city, yet with the loss of the humans- many strays are stuck in this building forced to rot unless a dog comes and tries to help them out. Yet not all dogs are able to escape, this pound is big- and its full of strays that haven't been let out in years. The food is old and stale, the water is tasteless, and if your caught in this situation, its rare that you'll live another year. You better hope for another dog to be kind enough to come and help you out, or you better hope that you have enough strength to break out.

The Docks
The well-kept docks is where all of the ships and boats come in, yet as years past- boats or ships rarely come to the city, this dock is close to the beach where the canines come to enjoy. It usually is a beautiful and clean place, as dogs often come to hang out and watch the water- due to the fact the boats aren't found around anymore. It is usually noisy with some dogs going around, and can even be seen as a cheerful place.

The Forest
The forest is a great land next to the city, with trees and plants of many kinds. The vegetation in this land is great, and some canines are here, often exploring the massive forest. It isn't unusual to find rivers in this area- as it is a very big wooded area, and a place full of many animals that some canines can hunt. The woods are also a place many dogs come to socialize and meet other canines, and hang out with other dogs.

Dog Town
"The city of the canines."

The Basics

Season: It is the beginning of the summer, and things are starting to get hot.
Weather: It is usually warm, clear days- and the occasional rain and thunderstorm.
Time: It is early morning.

The R U L E S

1 - Wait to be accepted, and for the roleplay to start before you post. Do not post right after you make your application, please.

2 - The simple rules, godmodding, power playing, meta-gaming, things of that nature, ect. You can have powers in this roleplay, but you can't have powers that make you some sort of god.

3 - If you read these rules, put 'dog town' somewhere in your app.

4 - Please be active, if you join this role-play, do not die after just a few posts. Try to post at least once per three days. After a week or no posts, we will move on without you.

5 - Use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, a  few mistakes are okay, but no text speak. There is a minimum of five sentences in a post, this doesn't mean short sentences, such as 'The girl ate. She loved food. She loved fish. So she ate hungrily. The food was good.' Posts like that are not allowed.

6 - Fights and what not will happen in the role-play, as some characters are prone for things such as that, and there will be romance, but don't do anything extreme. This means follow the FH rules, do not have mating scenes, overly gorey scenes, and things like that. Cursing is allowed, though- and this is generally a rather mature role-play, it mentions alcohol.

7 - Please keep the genders balanced. We don't need five females and one male, or ten males and two females.

8 - You may have three characters, you may have more if you ask me and I believe you can control more than three characters. Keep all of your characters active!

9 - This is a semi-realistic wolf/dog-roleplay. I mean that canines have realistic colors, so no neon animals, and what not. They don't have much knowledge of humans or human technology and what not.

10 - The wolves/dogs can talk and show emotions/facial expressions, another reason why it is semi-realistic.

The A P P L I C A T I O N

Note that all dogs in the city has a longer lifespan, most are able to live for fifty years, and all dogs also have a much stronger immune system, meaning normal sicknesses don't affect them as much.

Porcelain Melody Laine
"It hurts sometimes to find where you begin, but you are perfect porcelain."
Full Name: Porcelain Melody Laine
Alias/Nicknames: Porce is a good enough nickname, but she doesn't mind more.
Species/Breed: She is a Epagneul Breton mix
Age: She is a young adult.
Gender: Porcelain is a female.
Sexuality: Porce is pansexual.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lover: She has no lover, or a crush, yet.
Offspring: Porcelain has no offspring.
Companions: Porcelain has a cat as her friend, a badass one at that, his name is Darcy. He's a mofo when it comes to protecting her due to her naturally submissive nature, but he's pretty nice to ones he sees are her friends. He's the one who makes sure she is fat and happy, same goes for her to him.
Friends: She has a friend named Darcy and Minnow, but not many other friends.
Enemies: Porcelain has rare enemies, but she does have some.
Siblings: She has no siblings.
Parents: Her parents are alive, somewhere in the city, she often visits  them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Appearance: Porcelain is a medium-sized dog that leans towards being rather small and naturally a petite dog. Her whole body shows that she isn't much of a fighter, and is more of a lover. Due to being a sheltered dog, she doesn't have much scars covering her body, and the ones that she does have are mainly covered by her very lush, and soft fur. She often is mistaken for a border collie, but she is smaller than a border collie. Her fur is pretty clean most of the time, its in her nature to be neat, but you can't live in this city without getting dirty at points. She has fluffy tan fur, and a white underbelly and paws, with speckles of tan on the white that goes to her tail and her muzzle. She has a white split on her forehead, and brown eyes.

Personality: Porce is a fragile female- she is sensitive, and tends to break when exposed to a great amount of pressure, meaning she'll crack easily. But despite this, she is a hard-working, determined canine, who is natural intelligent person. Due to her rather fragile attitude, she is soft-spoken, quiet, and always afraid to speak up for herself. She is prone to being bullied or dominated for this very reason, which makes her shy and reserved- someone who won't open up easily to others she doesn't know. Timid and nervous around others she isn't close with make her a wary, cautious dog as well, yet when someone quickly proves that they are friendly, she will become a bit calmer, and show more of her friendlier nature.

She has an optimistic outlook on life most of the time, being a passive, peaceful, carefree girl with a love for all things nature- she has a loving, tender touch, and is always willing to lend and hand to those that need it, which does make her a bit naive. Porce has an innocent mind, anything dirty doesn't seem to exactly apply to her, and even thinking of relationships, or anything physical besides a friendly sniff or the friendly lick or nuzzle from a relative makes her become embarrassed and shy to the subject. She is a naturally kind, benevolent girl- with a gentle, delicate attitude, and a loving nature to those close to her, with little or no exceptions. She likes to make friends, just quietly. Porce seems to always have her smile ready, and her heart-splayed open to friendship, yet she does this very silently.

She is usually seen as naive, but at points can even become a playful rather flirtatious girl, but only to one she may see in a particular way.

History: Just ask her about her past, Porcelain won't tell another about her past unless asked.

Reputation: Porcelain isn't really known for much due to her quiet nature and the fact that most dogs don't interact with each other unless they are friends.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Porce has telekinesis, yet her abilities are different. She has an entity that has been linked to her since birth who she had named Minnow, who has the actual telekinesis powers. Porce is the only one capable of listening to or communicating with Minnow, and this power does have its good traits, yet a downside of this power is that she does not instruct Minnow, nor is Minnow under her control. Although Minnow is connected to her, she is in full control of her own actions. Porce can request help, yet she can't demand it from Minnow, which creates a lot of problems should Minnow and Porcelain disagree. Minnow can't physically control Porce to do things, but she can make obstacles for the shy dog.

As Porcelain grew, Minnow grew stronger- as did their bond- some examples of Minnow's powers would be the ability to move items around, throwing physical objects- picking them up, allowing them to float in the air, ect. She can also damage spiritual entities, and read their souls to Porce, but the downside is that this seems to make ghosts and spirits lean more towards poor Porcelain when wanting some sort of help. At points, she finds herself able to see spirits, or ghosts, and at points can even be haunted by them, and possibly die from them if they want to harm her that bad. Minnow at points can even strangle various hostiles, if they prove to be dangerous enough, or if Porce experiences a strong feeling of anger towards a certain person, Minnow might try to strangle them, showing that the entity can connect with her emotions.

Minnow can go away from Porcelain, but due the physical link they have, she can't go far. The separation causes Porcelain to experience excessive amounts of pain and lasting disorientation, Minnow also loses her powers if she goes too far away from Porcelain, which is why she seems to be frustrated with the restraining link at points. Other powers shown that Minnow has it the fact that she can allow Porcelain to direct mnemonic imprints from certain spots, allowing Porce to experience what happened to the object. Minnow also has the ability to read the souls of recently dead creatures, the technical term being mediumship. At points, Minnow has the ability to form things to save Porcelain, like if shes falling from a high air- create a bubble so she doesn't hit the ground, and die.

Minnow can also heal other people, and Porcelain at points as well. The entity also can use some time of form of energy, resulting from the existence of charged particles which gives Minnow control over electric fields, electric charges, eletric currents- and things of that sort.

Gender:Male.
Sexuality:Hetrosexual.

Parents:Fallen Eclipse (Mother, deceased), Hearth light (Father, 'zombiefied'.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Appearance:Coyote is a steady, well-built yet slightly underweight purebred German Shepherd. The mature dog is well tacked for the rare fight, for he has large strong paws, equipped with blunt, yet deadly in combat claws. His jaw is strong which is an excellent match with hardy and sharpish teeth. The 'base' colour of his fur is a light cream, which darkens on his lower legs and face. He has a top layer of black markings tat covers his back like a blanket  and moves of to the upper side of his tail. The underside of his tail is light cream. The blanket of black stops at his neck and then lightens on his face. The markings are like a symmetrical mask. Lastly, his eyes are a dark hazel, and the whites can only be seen if he looks far in each direction.

Personality:Coyote is independent, quiet and not a very approachable dog upon knowing him. He is rather average when It come to talking. He wont answer too many questions, nor ask them. He is not fond of interacting with strangers, but always has time for his son, Bullet-Point, and allows him to have a social life away from his father. He is not very aggressive, only when he needs to be and is known to be a little rude if dogs aggravate him.

That being said, he would not allow any canine in need of help to be unheard, and would help them to the best of his abilities. He is not a fatherly figure deep down, but tries to be one for his son, for he is the only bit of flesh and blood he has remaining.

Bullet-Point it quiet easy to explain. He is the exact opposite of his father, other than Coyote's friendly points.

Bullet is a friendly, loud and a very approachable pup upon knowing him. He is rather thorough when It come to talking. He will answer any question, and ask any. He is sociable when interacting with strangers, only if his father allows him to, though.

History: Coyote has had, to date a rough life. His puppy hood was rather 'normal' when he was growing up with the humans. He was bought up with a wealthy family, his mother and father being prize winning canines in 'The arena', as they called it. Coy and his siblings where able to play in a large garden with an assortment of other puppies that his owners had bred. When the date came to be sold, his sisters where almost instantly reserved and snapped up for breeding purpose by top quality breeders. Then his brothers went, mostly to be used as working dogs, studs and companions. Coyote was sold along with his brother, Fire Eye for a hefty price. He enjoyed to be in the company of his brother, since they where the only two of the siblings that though of other things, rather than being like their parents: Snobs. A few months being adopted though, things drastically changed.

Being in the heart of the city, his owner was the most vulnerable to the virus, or 'radiation' that leaked into the air. The two brothers saw their owner die in front of their very eyes as she struggled to breathe. As she slumped on the ground, the pair went into a instant panic mode, running around the house until Coyote came to his senses and led himself and his brother to the front door, which their mistress had opened just before she died. They looked outside to find helicopters above and harshly beeping cars on the ground. They watched as people struggled to exit the city, some where even outside begging to be let into a car. A few even died on the pavement as they gazed.

A few days after that the city was mostly deserted, except for a few people that here unable to escape quick enough, slowly decaying in strength. The brothers easily found scrap human food like left over fries for the next few weeks, but it was slowly decreasing, and much more difficult to eat, for other dogs fought to the death for it.

Soon the easy to reach food was gone and it was all about survival for the fittest. Since the pups where only around six months at the time, they where unable to hunt the prey of the city, because thy had no idea on how to. But a pack of canines that had formed wandered on by, searching for  edible things, no matter what it was. The group, mostly containing young adult males accepted the pups into the 'click' and taught he pair on how to hunt.

A year passed and all of the knowledge from the pack had been passed onto the brothers. They learnt all of the bad stuff though. Then, Coyote did something that tore the pack apart: He asked for his freedom to roam alone. The pack did not accept his resignation and attempted to kill him for his treachery to the group. Coyote had to murder a lot of the dogs in self defence, and a few of the dogs ran away, except his brother. Coyote's life had turned upside down with one sentence. The pair set of alone again, but where quickly paused in their tracks when they saw the most horrific sight in their entire lives. Their mother, in the middle of the playground, impaled on a metal plank with their father eating her. The brothers quickly pounced onto their father, only for him to turn and attack them. They had to struggle to fight with their father, because of his shear size and emotional impact. But they finally managed to scare him off, not having the heart to kill him and then began to grieve for their mother. They managed to pull her off the plank, dig a hole and bury her.

Then, they joined up with another pack and years passed before Coyote fell for one of the pack members, Gracie. She quickly became pregnant, and none of the pack knew except Coyote and Fire Eye, whom the father had told. Gracie gave birth to nine beautiful pups but the pair knew they had done a huge mistake. They could not possibly hide them. The father confronted the pack and told them about the puppies. Some of the pack became enraged while the others agreed they needed for the pack to grow. It was a blur when the pack fought a few minuets after a discussion. All that mattered was getting Gracie and the pups safely away. This, unfortunately never happened. Gracie returned for her hiding spot with the pups just as the fight broke out. One of the 'against' slaughtered her, and Coyote and Fire Eye quickly came to her aid to find her taking her last breath. The rest was not well remembered. He could remember a jaw clasp around his head, throw him and then someone pulling him away.

Coyote woke up six weeks later, severely underweight on the floor of a posh hotel with one of his pups, Bullet-Point, asleep by his neck. Fire Eye returned with a can of food he had managed to open for the three dogs. Fire Eye explained that he did not know the fate of the pack, nor the rest of his pups. Coyote greeted his pup, for he had only seen him when his eyes where barely open. A few days after that, Fire Eye had decided that he would rather be alone. He had grown independent from his brother that had always helped him in the tough times, plus, he had found a mate in the 'Dog Town'.

Now it is the present date and Coyote often see's his brother and they keep in touch with one another, but Coyote is grateful that his son is alive and able to give him company and guide the next generation in this harsh world.

Reputation:He is hated by many gangs of dogs he has been mixed up in when he was younger. He is not well known with loners.

Occasionally he is mistaken to be a pure timber wolf, however he is pure Tamaskan, a breed descended from the timber wolf. His owner placed a black collar around Ravani's neck to notify others that Ravani was tame, not an aggressive wolf.

Personality: Ravani isn't afraid of standing up for others or for himself, and usually, he won't let the situation slip past without a hard fight. However, he is more for fun, rather than battles and aggression. He seems to be kinder around other dogs, and proves to be more of an optimistic, happy soul - even if things are down. He can be pretty obnoxious and dim-witted at times, yet is very caring and friendly. He enjoys doing solitary work, but he doesn't mind working with others if it isn't frequent. Even though Ravani can be quiet or friendly, he does have a sharp-tongue that will lash out at you if provoke. He can be stubborn at times; otherwise, Ravani is gentle and understanding towards you. At points, he can be slightly the daring, mischievous canine - and after finding another canine interesting, can become a bit flirtatious. He is also seen as being adventurous and curious. However, Ravani has low self-esteme, meaning he easily puts himself down and negates his own abilities, gifts, etc.

He had a high tolerance to pain. By means of this is that he cannot feel pain in any circumstances. A disorder known as CIPA is in his genes. In this case, it doesn't allow her to feel pain; at points, this is a problem due to the fact that he cannot feel or know if he is severely wounded.

History: Ravani would prefer to keep his past private, however with the ones who he is more comfortable with, he will share.

Reputation: Though he is caring and quite the cheery one, Ravani is not known by many dogs, perhaps only the few that live next or nearby him.

((Ahh yes I did. I realized it when I posted it, however I can't seem to modify it. It won't allow me to since I can't see the page. I have to go through Profile > Show posts and press "post" so I can see all the posts. I do know what I am missing, so should I post it here? Since I cannot edit the post, as mentioned. However I can still post. It's confusing; sorry about that.))
