Your art is beautiful! I don't see why anyone wouldn't like it aside from, say, bad taste or high standards.

I hope you decide to develop these skills further, because these are really nice.

Only do it to the one you're planning to use, the material file is focused on jpg since you have no transparacy, so I suggest trying the jpg version first.
So I did that for the .jpeg versions and deleted the .xcfs I saved elsewhere, and I also modified the parts where it specifies the files, but for some reason it's still just blank, textureless white when I try to use it in the Preset Maker. eme

Try changing the names of the files you are using, example preset_2head.jpg to preset_2head1.jpg and so on.

And change them in the material as well.
I've had issues before regarding this, that if you've got files named the same someplace else on the computer, the game can't find the one you want to use, even if it's placed in this folder.
Give it a try and see If it helps.
Do I do it to both versions of the preset, or just one version?

Alright, are you able to zip the files, upload it to e.g mediafire and send me the files through PM so I can have a look at them?
I don't have any way of uploading files, either. :L My situation is not a good one when it comes to any of this. hhh

Game Help / Marshmallow Preset?
« on: October 31, 2015, 09:41:41 pm »
For some reason, when I try to use the Preset Maker tool to see if my preset works, the preset itself renders as what most call a marshmallow character. It's supposed to be in shades of green and with a texture, but it's not rendering right.
I've saved two versions of the preset-- One version of each file in .jpeg format and one in .png format. They're named properly and are all 512x512 for both versions.

Further info: All files except mane files are in the preset_2 folder, the preset is for a canine, 512x512 for each, notepad document has correct files listed.

Could someone who actually knows what they're doing (as opposed to me) help? :>

i pronounce success wrong but not like other people mispronounce stuff

i mispronounce success as usually just a blob of syllables vaguely reminiscent of success

First thing, if you're using Gimp, for outlines I'd recommend turning on Smooth Stroke and use sizes in a range of 1.0 - 5.0. Second thing, if you aren't, turn on layers. It gets a whole lot easier if you use them.

As for anatomy, it's pretty good. The snout to forehead transition isn't amazing if you're going for realism, but if you're pursuing your own style then that's fine. The position of the ears and mane is kind of odd and the mane itself is pretty off itself, so I recommend trying to fix that a bit.

To help you more, I'll need some information on what you currently use n' stuff, because I'm going off the background as indication of "it's probably gimp."
I hope this helped.
