If you get this error:
OGRE EXCEPTION(3:RenderingAPIEException): Failed to create Direct3D9 Device: Not available in D3D9RenderWindows::createD3DResources at c:\Orgre_161_tag\RenderSystems\Driect3D9\src\OgreD3DRenderWindow.ccp (line 597)
Here is a way to fix it:- click
Start, then
Run (or press windows key + R on your keyboard)
- type
dxdiag, press
Enter- a window should pop up
- click the
Display tab
- under
DirectX Features, you should see an
Enable button
- click the
Enable button
- if a popup appears, click
OK- click
ExitHere's a screen of what to click:Now running the game in Direct3D should work.
FAQ:Why doesn't everyone else have to do this to get FH to work?Most people should have "DirectX Direct Draw Acceleration" enabled by default. For some reason, yours isn't. So enabling it fixes said Ogre Exception.
