I must agree with this.
Though I'm not the kind for having mates (outside of my serious roleplays); I do notice what kind of characters get rejected, or chosen/begged.
90% of the time, the couple won't last a day (at least from what I've seen).

One time I was bored out of my skull, so I decided to play around with some of the other pups at the adoption center. I couple came and adopted my character, and I just kinda went with the flow to see what the family would be like. Literally five minutes later, the couple had broken up.
I forget what I typed, but behind the screen, I was laughing like an idiot.

I've gotten a couple before. It lasted 2 days, I think. Is that a FH record?!

Hunting matecenters hidden secrets and finding them out, is like you see a ketchup bottle and inside it is filled with ketchup. That's how ridiculous their secrets are when you find them out. I once did an experiment to see if people cared about a lonley, plain wolf and they all rejected which was disappointing. And then when I changed into a beautiful, stunning wolf more than 20 people asked me to hang out with them. I was very upset, that I went around all of ficho and told all the people who rejected me: 'Next time, care about who the person really is inside and accept to hang out with any lonley person. Because, if it's that way, you are a horrendous person yourself.' They never opened their mouth again. Do not ever judge anyone by their cover, the heart is the most important key.

In my opinion mate centers should be disallowed I always though even when I was playing game little bit more than I do now that they should be banned completely. They don't contribute much to the roleplaying nor do they help they pair people up too quickly and the people who find people often end up not liking the people that pick them. so it's pretty much not a good thing.

Honestly in my opinion, mate centers are pointless. Mate centers are filled with rude, judgemental people, with a few exceptions. I have never participated in one myself, but I have observed them. Mostly. the actual MC is pretty rude, and has no sympathy for those who go home without these "mates". You could hardly call them mates though, because often times you don't know the person, and you wont get along. It reminds me of a show I once saw on Lifetime called "Married at First Sight". It's kinda like that, (but on the show, you can't just unfriend the person and say, "Oh sorry, I don't like you as much as I thought I would.") you don't even know the person you're mating. It's pretty much contradictory to the whole saying that you learned growing up: don't judge a book by it's cover. Seriously, if you want a mate, join a roleplay, and meet the perfect person, instead of the perfect looking person.
