Kitsune. Have you tried changing the rendering submode from opengl to direct3D9?

Lower the resolution, turning off anti aliasing if enabled, remove water relfections, lower view distances etc, are things that usually improve the framerate.

In some cases people still experience lag when playing in a crowded map in multiplayer. But it's natural for most.

Sorry to bother you but...

I'm having the same problem that Kirara had (with the characters turning black and whatnot), though no matter what I've done, nothing seems to work.

I've updated my graphics card, and have checked in three different ways that it was updated and that I didn't do anything screwy. I've also messed with the Direct3D9 and the OpenGL or whatever they're called. I've read through this thread, and a few others that have to deal with the visuals.

I don't think it's the computer, since it's run MMORPG's before, but I guess I won't rule it out.

Is there anything I haven't tried doing?

EDIT: I tried again with the Direct3D9 and it works a lot better now. The thing is, when I'm making characters when using that the pelts don't change color. I can sometimes get the graphics to work long enough with OpenGL but it's a pain.

I guess my question still is is there something else I can try, or else I can just keep switching back and forth XD

Yeah, I think that got us onto something. I think you've got a "Dell Inspiron 6400 Model MM061". I'm not fully sure what kind of card you're using. But these are some drivers I dug out. I have never used dells own hompage for downloading things like these but I think this,

http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R120464&formatcnt=0&libid=0&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&fileid=160516

Is what you are looking for. Hopefully.. But it seems legit.. And it's what I would have tried. However, it's drivers from 06, so I don't know how useful they'd actually be.

So, when using Direct3D9 it looks like it should, but when you change the characters colours nothing happens?

If this is the case, I'm not really sure. Not because I got any ideas, but do you have a screenshot of it?
