Should work if you uncheck these

Receive reply notification only for the first unread reply.
Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic.
When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.)

I have all of those turned off, but I still received a thread notification that I had not subscribed to.

I tried the "Nothing at all" thing, and everything is unchecked. What do you mean, change contact mail?

Oh, I don't mean I'm getting emails, I meant I wanted to stop receiving Updated Topics.
