Shadows setting?

So, while I was messing around with the config files in the FH directory, I came across a few lines in settings.cfg that caught my eye:

[Video]
Shadows=false
ShadowDetail=0
I tried experimenting with the options, but I have seen no change in how the game looks. Any help on how or what this can be used for? It could really help me out here. C:

This setting has been disabled by KovuLKD for certain reasons, so you can't really do anything with them or use them for anything. ^^

Ah. May I ask how you know this?

I found a similar help thread regarding this issue, and it is explained that Kovu disabled the setting for lower end computers or stability reasons.
