Yeah, ummmmm.....There is a local monkey living in my area and when came in contact with the neighbors kitten he...err "raped" her..... She is just a kitten, she aint no cat.

I really dont feel comfortable with this, the kitten is not old enough for that.

Monkey's are quite common here so there isnt really any animal catchers and someone owns the monkey too.

What would be a good thing to do in this situation?

If this aint appropriate by all means delete/lock this thread mods.

Anyway im serious, i want some suggestions here. I dont know what to do about it, the kitten is the sister of my kittens. What if it dies of disease or something!

Well, first of all, I think the reason why the monkey did that is probably due to dominating behavior. I've seen nature shows where males will mount females for dominance and for mating rights.

Second of all, are there actually monkeys running loose in your neighborhood? That can be dangerous since they can transmit diseases to other animals and people such as rabies.

Third of all, I think there should be animal control around. And besides, the last thing you wanna do is get bitten by some strange animal who might be carrying some fatal disease.

Well, monkeys are common in this country not exactly my neighborhood. This monkey is also a pet, he is used to people. He is also tied to a tree by a long piece of rope.

In countries like this animals like monkeys and stuff are allowed to be pets which i dont find very good.

There is an animal control but i dont think its for monkeys but for the stray cats and dogs.

As far as i know, he is the only monkey in the area. I reckon he deserves to live in the monkey forest. A large forest area specifically for the habitat of the monkeys and other wild animals.

Hmmm, i guess i should of added some of that to the first post.

I found somewhere to catch a monkey. I hope this will help.

A popular parable tells how, back in the day in some exotic setting, people used to catch monkeys in a very special way. Actually they let the monkeys catch themselves. What they did is cut a small hole in a coconut, just large enough for a monkey to put its hand in. Next, they would fix the coconut to a tree, and fill it with a sweet treat. The monkey would smell the treat, squeeze its hand into the coconut, grab the treat in its little monkey-paw and ..find that its fist would not fit through the hole. Now the trick is, that the last thing the monkey will think of is to let go of the sweet; and it holds itself prisoner. Yes, the silly wee b***** just sits there desperately grasping its treat while the human being comes and catches it.  Once you've got it, you HAVE to take it to a jungle/forest, its the only thing to do. You HAVE TO PUT IT IN A JUNGLE OR FOREST!!

Thats the best I found.

I'm pretty sure that's not a good idea, it might even classify as animal cruelty.

The Monkey is still going to be able to run, yet with a coconut stuck on it's hand.

And I'm also pretty sure that monkeys have some sort of intelligence and aren't that stupid to just sit around and let a human catch it.

Have you even got legit proof that it'd even work? It's only a story.
