?Barren War? [Inactive since 16/02/2013]
« on: February 03, 2013, 02:48:52 am »
Warning: The following is based off of one of my world plots. Please do not steal any ideas. I also recommend sensitive people to turn back now; Gore and violence may *cough*ofcoursewill*cough* occur.
Maidens addressed in white practice traditional dances with fans among the village square, where people gather to watch and cheer them on. Soldiers uniformed in everything from monk outfits, for the lower ranks, and samurai dressage for the high march the streets, guarding the village and training the newest recruits. Feathers mark most of their outfits, from dull underfeathers to bright arrays of them, attached to helms and cone-like hats of straw. Often, darker looking people will scourge through the streets, whirling knives threateningly, though not attacked or bothered by the guards. This is clearly one of the the Itchionian Tribe's cities, where shady people march the streets and no one cares about anything- unless, of course, someone were to disobey their codes, or attack their guards. You could see one entire peaceful village turn to a full-fledged army within one slash of a knife to a soldier's throat. And then there's the one who they have their eyes on fighting... The small town of the Waikonan Tribe that is only a mile away from their town. The streets there are barren as the Waikonan people of the town hide in their homes, the only exception is the maidens that go out to fetch water and herbs for themselves and their family, if they have. Soldiers of that town cower in their homes, unable to get orders from the main town on whether they can attack or not. The Itchionian soldiers patrol the streets, knowing they cannot kill the maidens under their laws. You could say, it is very well under the control of the cruel tribe. Perhaps the two tribes can seek peace, and carry out their normal lives. Maybe there's a way to achieve peace? The choice is yours, try to take the challenge to survive? Or be part of the overpowering tribe? What would fit /you/.

The world recreated, we merely focus on two tribes in New China. What would bring two of their own kind to this treacherous battle? Merely the fact that they are very different, and the Itchionian refuses to settle at that. The Waikonan are peaceful gatherers, and refuse war unless they must. And when their little town was attacked, they fled after the first sign of bloodshed. In to their homes, of course, as running would be honorless in their code. The strong tribe believe they are winning, feeling brave, marching the streets, keeping everything in order. However, some of course get distracted with the fair maidens of this new town. And such could lead to forbidden love, perhaps even forbidden children that could turn the faces of the war. Perhaps to unneeded killings, or perhaps to peace. Only actions will decide fate now.

Rules:
1. Don't take roleplay things seriously; If someone kills you, they aren't gonna really assassinate you, and just because your characters have a good relationship like girlfriend and boyfriend, you haven't found your future spouse. Really...
2. Keep good grammar and stay in third-person style. I will not tolerate any other style, or text-talk in character. Hard to comprehend for me. You can use as many sentences as you want, just keep good grammar and style.
3. Move any lovey-dovey chiz to PM's. You can kiss, and that stuff without running off to PM's, of course, but no lovey-dove-- oh you get it!
4. You can have two characters in each tribe and use different colors for each of them when roleplaying. Otherwise it gets confusing. You can also trade slots, like make them all Itchionian, or Waikonan, etc.
5. Wait 3 days to/for to kill someone's/your character. We don't want people dying so soon!
6. Have fun, and if you need any help, PM me!

Itchionian
Lead-ranks:

-Battle

Xia Mang
Male
17
King
Wearing clothes stolen from British-more lands by his father, Xia doesn't care what rules he defies. He was taught to be cruel to people out of his tribe, and such teachings led to his war-callings. However, sometimes his life brings him to search for a queen, usually making him become depressed. Even though he is quite famous among the maidens for being one of the first young rulers to brave battle face to face, he finds it hard to find a proper mistress.
-He decorates the shoulders of his outfit with bright arrays of sunbird feathers that represent the leader rank
-His horse; Shen:

Battle-ranks:

Peng Yin
Male
23
Samurai
A brave samurai, his helm is marked with 5 feathers, three sunbird feathers mark the center, while two blue-bird feathers crown their sides. He has ended countless lives in honor of his Clan, and knows not of love. Ever since the slaying of his father by his very mother, he does not believe it is worth it. It would take a lot to melt his cruel heart, and it would be rare to see him show mercy. The only thing he enjoys is winning, strength, and bloodshed, though he has been warned that if he overreacts to these, he could easily be slain as a threat. Even the Itchionian feel he is too cruel for their Clan, though keep him for his great victorious paths.
-He used to have a best friend as a child, who he loved dearly, like a sister. However, he never saw her again when the war started, and it made him even more cruel.

((Accepted! Allow me to start.~))

Marching through the streets of the Waikonan tribe, Peng and his Itchionian patrol stared among the houses. "No one daring enough to come out and play?" He said with a spiteful tone, his eyes glaring at every door of every house on the main road. His patrol stopped to warily look around, unsure if they should speak. The short-tempered and cruel samurai wasn't the best to respond to. No one ever never knew what was offensive or not, and even so, the answer he was looking for might cause him to rampage. But it wasn't really possible to interfere, anyway.

[[ Thank you c: !~ ]]

A cold steel eye peered through one of the windows of his home, with a disdain ridden face at the sight of the despicable Itchionian samurai known as Peng Yin. Even the thought of the name disgusted him, for he knew that even if he was war crazed in his youth, he never allowed his old patrol to stake out around the rivaling town and mock them in the presence of their own land! "Scoundrel.." The words escaped him as she felt his grip onto the hilt of his sword but a steady hand on his shoulder soothed his rage for the moment as he turned over his shoulder to find that his only ill-born child, Hua Sek, was in his presence.  In hand, she held a teapot while dressed in her placid traditional ritual gowns seeing as how she was suppose to be with the other maidens but the intervention of the bastard on the street only delayed her training. "Father, will you partake in the tea ceremony?" Ah, her words seemed like sweeten honey off of a flower from the bee's search for energy, she oddly lightened his moods at times for she had her mother's face but his curtsey.

"Just a moment, Hua," he brushed over with a cold gesture but he surely jested his brutality at her but his concern was more focused on the samurai outside than the maiden inside. The girl sighed while she glanced at the floor to see that her father's hand was holding tightly onto the hilt of the blade he possessed. Her own blade was located within the meeting room of their house but even she wasn't allowed to touch it unless she and her father were the only ones alone at home. A female with a blade was deadly literally and metaphorically, it could rip the family's reputation but also ruin hr chances of being a maiden. All the Sek family could do was watch from their front window but the daughter was by her father's side and eventually leaned in to see the "scoundrel" her father was mentioning without having to open the windows.

Pulling out one of his blades, Peng grinned bitterly as he peered around. "What a shame, you folk still hide. What honor to the code are you if you cannot defend your own city?" He mocked loudly, listening to it echo through the barren-seeming city. Resting it across his chest, he turned back to his patrol, seeing they were turning to the distant calling sound.

Dressed in full garment of a warrior, King Xia came rushing in to town followed by his own patrol. "Sir Peng! Sir Peng! Sir Peng!" The repeated calling rang the air. The breathless king hunched over as he reached the location, he looked like a peasant.
"King Xia, what has brought you to disgrace yourself in these lands of pity?" Peng asked, peering down at the young king who tried frantically to catch his breath. "Sir Peng, you are required back at the kingdom." The breathless voice rang, but Peng held his chin up with defiance. "For what is the cause?" He asked instantly, and the king looked up at the defiant man. "A few of the wild beasts entered the city, none other. The maidens have been trying to keep them busy until help would arrive." He replied, and Peng gave a rude fit of laughter. "Let them to serve that way, if they fool around enough, they might tame them." He replied, having no care of the maidens. Astonished at the defiance of the samurai, Xia wouldn't fight. His father trained him well enough not to defy someone elder than he, even if his domain was higher. Nodding reluctantly, he balanced himself on his katana blade, trying to catch his breath. "I came here for nothing..." He muttered, ready to turn around when he peered around the barren city. "Sir Peng, let the people have some freedom, shalt they not live in fear? I expect you out of here by sundown, or I will not hesitate to have you banished." He added, walking away slowly, a slight limp in his step. Peng grinned and pulled out his other blade, crossing the two over his chest for a moment to relax before whirling around to peer at the streets. "Freedom? Who needs it. Peasants." He grumbled.

"Hua, do not get close to the window," the Adviser steadily pulled away his daughter by gripping his large hand onto her shoulder and spinning her about and away but it caused the girl to giggle, she always enjoyed being spun around. Several creases appeared on his face of sorrow, thinking of his late lover and how bright she was. Brighter than the fireflies dancing within the meadows in the night garden in which he had. He shook his head away, rubbing his forehead with a stoic expression while the grip on his daughter tighten without him noticing. "F-Father.."She winched a bit to find her shoulder was nearly being crushed but she knew it was accidental as her father never did lift his hand at her. As soon as the hand was released, she took a sharp breath of pain as she rubbed her shoulder with her head hung over. Responding to his daughter's distress, he held by his both of her arms and straighten her out to see her face and he pulled her into a hug. 'What must the Gods place hatred towards us? Towards our clan?' Hua embraced her father with a soft smile on her face and he could feel his hand twitching. It was sign of his thoughts overcoming his actions and twitching only meant it t was one of regret. She went onto the tip of her toes and pressed the long sleeve of the white maiden dress against his forehead, seeing as how it was cool. The father seemed distraught but he ran his hand throguh his daughter's hair but they never made eye contact, he was uneasy with it when placed through an emotional moment. "I'll go..for the tea ceremony," he muttered under his breath as he released the girl, bowed his head slightly as the maiden was shown this in her training, and he escorted himself towards the living room but several of the servants called him over and thus, he was sparking up a conversation with them. This left Hua to herself.

With a small huff of relief, the white-dress maiden glanced over back to the window to find that a new patrol arrived with a fully armored man arriving and speaking loudly towards the "scoundrel," and it seemed to be of that of a leader's voice. However, the armor suit itself was mismatched and surely at times out of place but she frowned to find that the samurai on the street was defying the orders of what the man presented to him. She soon heard the chiming of the bells of a door opening several houses away to find a younger boy, possibly having escaped the watchful eye of his parents, poking his head out into the street. Her face paled, thinking of the worst possible scenarios in which the child would faced. One of the similar traits in the Sek family was worry and thinking up of the worst conclusions to dilemmas. The daughter of Xioing Sek sighed, fixing the teapot that rested onto the windowsill, as she walked over towards the door and took a deep breath in.  "May the Gods smile upon my path," she pressed her hands together as she opened her slide-out door but she went onto the tip of her toes to grab the bells, to prevent their ringing from echoing out. The maiden was quickly to close the door behind her and lean against it while keeping a watchful eye on the child who was wobbling in his walk out in the open and she thus place herself into action. The maiden walked over to the child, knelt down, and pressed her finger to the toddler's lip for his babbling not to be heard heard seeing as how the patrols were focused on the leader present within the village.

Brave and uncontrolled, Peng lashed the blades together to make the sharp sound of clashing metal. Spotting the two on the empty streets, he noticed one was a boy. There was no law against killing it was the first thought of the dark samurai.Turning around, it was clear to see what the samurai was thinking to Xia. "I said stop..." Xia said angrily, pulling off his helmet angrily. His dark hair hung in strands as he took a deep breath. Head held high, he refused to let this samurai terrorize the town to no limits."As if it would matter." Peng replied, beginning to walk towards the maiden and the boy.
