The babbling toddler belonging to the Zhing family was biting on Hua Sek's finger and clapping his hands in approval as Hua couldn't help but smile at the young toddler's content. She calmly stood up and shushed off the toddler back into the opened door and closed it. The distant footsteps within the house seemed startled as the praises to the God above was heard for their son wasn't slain. However, as she took several steps back, she heard the clopping of a horse approaching and dear, it was close.  As she turned, several of her auburn hairs fell over her face to find herself peering at the armor of the incoming samurai who had his blades out.

"What might you be doing out here?" Peng asked bitterly as he walked forward, swords out at his sides threateningly. Though he was not allowed to kill her by law, he was quite a threatening person.Seeing Peng walking towards the maiden, Xia was furious with him. "For the sake of YinYang, I will not say this again." His angered voice rang as the young king grabbed Peng from behind.

Seeing the figure comnig forth wit a threatening tone and a bitter posture with each step he took, the maiden glanced up with a stoic expression. Neither seemed frightened or aggressive for the fact he approached her but all she did was politely bowed her head, knowing he father wouldn't want bloodshed to fall onto their family name. "Morrow to you as well, lord. As duties of the maidens read, children are in priority of protection from us." With her brown eyes glancing over to the other trespasser of the village but she politely bowed her head as well gratitude with her hand gestures seeing as how the incoming and wielded samurai had his attention on the other man.

Pulling Peng back, the maddened king was not going to back down. Whipping around, Peng stared at the king with a huff. Rolling his eyes, he broke free from the young lord's grip and began to walk back to his patrol, ordering them to start the march home. Giving a sigh of relief, Xia began to walk away slowly, the light limp of exhaustion still clinging to his step.

"Thank you," her voice was under her breath as she gratefully bowed her head but the limb alerted her of something wrong with the leaving man. She sighed softly while she slipped her arm into one of her sleeves and plucked off a hidden flower she had there as she mimicked a bird's call with her whistle as she took a short step behind the man. "Here, for this will energize." Hua kept her eyes cast downwards as she must've thanked the man somehow and thus, this was possibly the way.  "I believe there would be a cane somewhere.."

Xia turned around, looking at the maiden with confusion. It wasn't often that a maiden of this tribe would run to the leader of what caused their troubles. In fact, it was almost never that it occurred, but Xia guessed it was an exception, though he didn't know how to react. Instead, he stood there with an almost blank expression.

"I see that plants may not be into your taste," the maiden was a nervous smile on with her eyelids closed, completely unaware of the person before her. Yes, she had heard of stories of the Mang dynasty and their young king, but never has she seen him in person or better yet heard a clear description of him besides the usual dreaming, enchanting, and a heart breaker. The maiden released a small puff  of air as she noted the staff in front of her house, rarely used by her father and he already had gotten a new one. She darted over to the front of her house, grabbed the cane, and retreated back with her hair up in a mess but it didn't bother her. "Here, if physical objects assist your limb."

Xia couldn't help but smile at the young maiden of the other tribe that actually wished to assist him. Gratefully, he took the staff with a "Thank you" as he kept his eyes peering at her. Leaning on the staff with one side, he used his opposite arm to reach out and brush the maiden's hair back down. Still smiling, he seemed a bit dazed. Wonderful. The cruelest tribe's king had become moontitched by an enemy tribe's maiden.

Hua seemed surprise at the response of gratitude for her assistance as most would frown upon her or keep the blank expression he had earlier when she had confronted them. The maiden nodded her head softly in response for the man's thanking but she noted that he kept full eye contact. Not many men of lower ranks ever did keep their eye contact in check but this surely meant he was a higher or so, possibly a samurai! She closed her eyes instinctively as the hand went to touch her head, fearing the worse may happen as even smiles can lie of a person's intent but seeing that he was fixing her head, she slowly opened her eyes. "O-Oh my. Thank you."

She wiggled her nose to find that one of her hairs fell over her nose as she pressed her sleeves together and made a soft sneezing noise. She glanced upwards at the man with a nervous expression, "Sorry for that. However, I believe your patrol is awaiting for your return." Hearing the distant hooves of horses pacing in circles, she peered slightly to the side to find flabbergasted soldiers. She had no clue why.

[[Moontitched, it's a term used to mean blinded by love, like that. xD]]

Turning around, he had almost forgotten about the soldiers, seeing how confused and anxious they were to leave. "One moment, please..." He murmured as he peeked back over at the maiden, walking over to them, using the cane for support. Using his free hand to salute them, he spoke. "Return to the Itchionian Dynasty, I will be fine." He said to them, and they all exchanged confused looks. "But Lord Xia, is that safe?" One of them asked, only to receive a nod and a look of impatience. The patrol nodded reluctantly and began to ride away, leaving just him and his horse Shen.
Patting the horse's muzzle to command it to stay, it snorted with agreement. He quickly turned back to return to the maiden, smiling once more.
