Mimodae blinked, lifting his head to the smell of rotting flesh. "We're close to the gate, Wolfie."
It drew its katana and continued to the gate, hiding behind the wall.
"What?" He said quietly. "Is there a new scent?" He guessed by the Wolf's position with the blade. He could hear a slithering noise, like a snake moving across the wet ground... The Wolf's blade was speaking softly. He positioned himself close to the Wolf, one hand of claws raised.
