City of Reign [WIP NO POSTING]

Before anyone asks: yes, this roleplay has been inspired by game of thrones. No, it will not be as complex a world or plotline as GoT. And no, you don't need to watch the show/read the books to partake in this roleplay, however it would be easier for both you and I if you were at least familiar with the rough plot and ideas of the story ^.^

.:Reign of the City:.
For centuries, the City of King's Landing has been deteriorating. It's unsteady leadership results in its weak foundations, but the recent number of uprisings and Civil battles have sent tremors running through the very heart of the city's survival. The ever-constant war for leadership over Westeros is worsening- brother turns against brother, husband against wife, allies turn to enemies in the blink of an eye. All of this to snatch a place in the game of thrones.

King's Landing is known for its power and position in the developing world. It is the capital of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. It is the center of trading, the base for the many luxuries that only the rich can afford, and of course the heart of a true leader's ruling. The five houses fighting for the right to dictate the land are known as House Lannister, House Stark, House Targaryen, House Tyrell and House Baratheon. Each of these houses have their strengths and weaknesses. But who has what it takes to become the rightful sovereign of Westeros?

House Lannister is one of the Great Houses of Westeros, one of its richest and most powerful families and oldest dynasties. House Lannister's Heraldry consists of a golden lion on a crimson background. Their unofficial motto, which is as well known as the official one, is "A Lannister always pays his debts"

House Stark of Winterfell is a previously exiled Great House of Westeros, ruling over the vast region known as the North from their seat in the slums of King's Landing. House Stark's sigil is a grey direwolf on a white field, sometimes white and pale green. They are one of the few noble Houses whose family words are not a boast or threat. Instead, the House Stark family motto is a warning, one that, no matter the circumstances, will always be relevant: "Winter is Coming".

House Targaryen is a former Great House of Westeros and was the ruling royal House of King's Landing for three centuries, before it was deposed. The few surviving Targaryens fled into exile. House Targaryen's sigil is a three-headed red dragon on a black background, and their words are "Fire and Blood".

House Tyrell of Highgarden is one of the Great Houses of Westeros. It rules over the Reach, a vast, fertile, and heavily-populated region of southwestern Westeros. The Tyrell sigil is a golden rose on a pale green field. Their motto is, "Growing Strong".

House Baratheon of Storm's End is one of the Great Houses of Westeros, although also one of the youngest. It is the current royal house (this is bound to change). House Baratheon's sigil is a black stag on a gold background and their house motto is "Ours is the Fury".

.:Westeros:.
As I said before, this roleplay will not feature such a complex world that the books and show provides, but here are the basics: the North is owned by the Starks. Normally, their home would be Winterfell, but it was burned to ashes by an unknown force so they have been forced to reside in the slums of King's Landing. King's Landing itself is located in the very center of Westeros- it provides shelter for refugees seeking cheap accomadation after their homes were destroyed during the many wars that take place through the Seven Kingdoms. Continue South and you will find the Reach, home to the members of House Tyrell. This land is rich and fertile, the population is low in comparison to King's Landing yet it still is a home to many refugees of the war. The members of House Tyrell would usually call this place their home, but under the current circumstances they have also been forced to reside in King's Landing.
