Thanks for mentioning the race!  I wish I could come support you at the weekly gathering too, but unfortunately my Saturday is packed full.  I hope it's a good turnout!

I swear the weirdest dream I ever had was while I was on mental meds and dreamed I was being chased by my marshmallow men threw my school cause I committed a crime via chewing gum.

Oh dang, marshmallow gum police. XD  Those must have been some intense meds!  Did they catch you?

Just last night I dreamed I was having fun with three of my old cats...

Then I walked outside, saw three moons in the sky and thought, Huh, that can't be right.  Then a meteor fell across the sky, an asteroid shattered the largest moon, and hunks of rock started falling from the heavens.  A mountain-sized piece of the moon fell on top of our house as I shut my eyes and waited for the end, wondering what heaven would be like.  Then I woke up.  That was one distressingly real dream!

After posting a bunch on the forums, I realized I haven't even said hello yet. XP

Hi everyone!  I was big into FeralHeart back in 2013 or so, and nostalgia brought me back to see the old community.  It makes me happy to see that there are still some loyal fans who are keeping this little corner of the internet lively!

I'm a gentleman of the university once again (that is to say, a college slob), so I probably won't be on much, but it's sure nice reconnecting. :)  How's everyone doing?

Characters / Sunder the Stag (or as close to a stag as I can get!)
« on: September 20, 2022, 07:39:02 am »
Behold the mighty stag!  Hulking, deadly, fearsome and--

...uh, cuddly, I guess.  But still, fear him!

Sunder was a character that came out of a role-playing campaign I was a part of this year.  He was a spirit stag that you could whistle for, and he'd appear.  The little sister of one of the other characters loved riding around on him, and eventually started calling him "Thorny" because of his antlers. XD  We didn't get to play around with him for very long, but I loved the idea of a humongous stag that can pop out of nowhere, so here he is in Feralheart!

I wanted to give him some kind of hooves, but Siamese worked best to give him that dappled coat that deer have.  Close enough, I suppose.  It's been a long time since I've made a character, and it sure took me back!

Considering the tumbleweed state of the forums right now, I hope nobody minds if I necro this post. XD

I wonder if part of the reason for the decline of games like this is the crazy speed of evolution in gaming culture.  Video games are relatively new, all things considered, and especially 3D games.  FeralHeart came out in 2011, and do you know what else did?  Minecraft.  And just think about how much things have changed since Minecraft came out!

Kids who were 12 when Feralheart was created didn't grow up with the kind of advanced, aggressively-marketed games that kids today grow up with.  I do think that wonderful things can come out of video games, but part of me wonders whether or not modern games have stifled kids' imaginations.  Minecraft and Roblox and things like that are great open-ended fun, but a lot of other games... I don't know.  Any thoughts?
