I've been flipping through the hacker's Tumblr posts, and they are definitely just trolls. They do, however, appear to be angry at our lovely staffers.
I bet my house they're just a load of butthurt troublemakers who were angry for being banned or something.
They say that they don't have any grudges against the mods (With a little sarcastic <3 at the end of it), but maybe they're lying. People don't like admitting some of those things.
Happy Pride Month!

I'm surprised these hackers are publicly announcing they did it.

My question really is what exactly did they hacked that made it necessary to shut down the online servers?
Got on as MODs. Shut down to keep them from getting on as other users as well, and also to prevent them from incorrectly using mod powers.
So they hacked it through the use of a in-game modification on the hacker's end?
No, MODs as in Moderators.
Oh. So he hacked into one of the moderator accounts and shut it down?
It's somewhere on the forums, but now it requires a lot of digging to find, so to sum it up: multiple people got into a couple moderator accounts, messed around with stuff, didn't shut it down but caused panic/confusion, they posted links to frame other sites (frame for lack of a better word), and they (people in charge of the game, not the hackers) had to shut down servers to keep everyone else safe/stop confusion.
yeah, shutting down the servers was a pretty much one of those "better safe than sorry moments.' besides, if these guys are able to hack moderator accounts, well...
In that case, hopefully these guys don't try it again and again. I hope the MODs can make a better security defense in case something like this happens again.
if there's one thing i've learned about hackers, is that once they start, they're always bound to try again. however i'm sure the mods will do what they can to prevent another "successful" run. the mods did say they're working on a more long term solution, but they know the players want back in so they just want to do a quick fix for now.

in all honesty, that would not surprise me in the least bit.
They're trying to justify themselves, saying things like "oh it's a stupid *loads of inappropriate stuff* furry game."

The usernames for the "Squish" and "Squash" characters at Stone Bridge were:
Squash: MVRecruiter
Squish: Tailgate

This is a reply to a message on page 11, but my computer was lagging to much to quote it.  And this information is also probably already known, but here ya go anyway.

Its thats what they think, they why would hack it to begin if they think its just a"furry game". I agree with TwistedLizard, they have to be just trouble makers.

I see many asking this same very sad question:

Why?

Why hack Feral Heart?

Indeed there is nothing to gain from hacking FH but for some, including those who have recently partaken in this terrible behavior, it gives some sort of cheap thrill. Some people are just bad and can only find happiness by destroying other peoples' happiness and the order established by authority. Some of these folks try to justify their wrong doing by blaming the staff and slandering our good names and all that we stand for. They pretend to be martyrs but only prove to be delinquents fueled by a delusional cause. They claim that they are doing this for the betterment of the community and to make a point but in reality all they're doing is disrupting the happiness of many, stirring concerns for security amongst users, tainting an innocent game, ruining the peace and order the staff work so hard to preserve, and spreading lies.

It's truly pitiful how low some are willing to go.

Do not fret though friends, the community will have its justice. Those who stand against us and the good that we stand for will only stumble and fall from their own wrong doings and foolishness. Karma comes to all. For now we staff focus first on establishing security to our user base and game. Appropriate action will be taken against those responsible for disrupting the peace.

We thank you all for you continued patience and support during this time. Know that work is still being done to get things back up promptly. We look forward to resuming normal in game activity soon!

I have no doubt that all ye' awesome staff will be able to fix this. And as much as people have said all this already, thank you all for trying to make this right.

Well, it's nice to know that there are people who find joy in returning that joy to those who had it taken by those who seek pleasure in other's suffering.

Thanks for the update LordSuragaha. Please keep us posted.
