It is possible to export a chacter as a 3d model?
« on: April 15, 2020, 03:21:04 pm »
Hello all, I was randomly thinking of 3D printing one of my characters without having to re-make him from scratch in some software, however does anyone know if its even physically possible to do this, or even just the model itself without the texture? it also got me thinking would it be possible to export it and use it in software like Blender aswell?

thanks

I believe that it is possible to at least get the model off of Blender. There could be a few ways to do this if you look at the people doing 3D presets with Blender. As for the textures coming on the character, I believe that is possible if you make the character a preset in Blender and then export it as a 3D model from there.

I hope this helps!

No problem! I know someone is [possibly] making a tutorial on Blender and presets, but if you'd like to find out before then, this link may be able to help you out: https://www.deviantart.com/flywheel68/art/FeralHeart-Blender-Tutorial-551591933

They have some custom made videos to show the whole process of how to make a preset with Blender. The only difference would probably be the end where instead of exporting it as a FH preset you export it as a 3D model.
