True in the sense that mostly homebound bedbound disease doesn't give much room to leaving house or having people over at all and no birthday visitors or visits either for years now because it takes weeks to recover from a simple visit or having visitors over. False in the sense that after over 20 years of that I've given up on pity parties and have learned to enjoy the enjoyable and make the most of what I do have instead of longing for what I don't.

True. We had several. A grey red tail parrot that could impersonate quite a few people and would go camping with us and would shreak 'hold on' when the car went through a sharp bent, a blue budgie that could talk a little say it's name and how sweet it was, ask for kisses and cookies and was very cheeky hovering over ashtrays and visitors that it knew where a tiny bit frightened of it. Loved to hang from your head to see it's reflection in your eyes and would join in when playing cards tossing cards from the center pile or pulling them from your hands. And a lovebird couple that had a love hate relationship with the yorkie. The female would deliberately either go up to the dog or humans to bite your finger while the male was a bit shy. Also had green yellow budgies. No pets anymore though.
