How to hide email icon/option on member list?

How do we hide the email option on the memberlist?

Checked back and every new member since October 2016 has the email icon on the memberlist but almost none have it before that.

I'd like to hide that option but I can't find where to do that.

I've asked quite a few people in my time around FH and I don't think there is an option to.
Maybe I'm just asking the wrong people.

Thanks, it seems there used to be but something seems to have changed since October and for one or the other unknown to me reason they changed the default to show it for everyone new since then which isn't quite a choice I would make or desire for a forum.

Well I hope they add an option soon, I don't want some random people emailing me.

Same here, that's why I'm asking, hopefully someone who is in charge of this forum is able to answer the question or change it back to how it was before October.

Reported myself to hopefully get an answer from those who are able to either give us the answer or change it for us.

Ugh, wish I didn't mention it... looks like it's being abused already, getting in spam emails already and never had these on this account yet....

Am sorry to hear of your troubles with the spam emails, Soul, I have never had this issue myself.
I'm sure that you can just type in an old email you don't use or use a random one if that might work? Then you wouldn't get the spam. I am not entirely sure about a button to hide it though but if there was it'd be under the forum settings.

EDIT: There is an option under Forum Profile > Notifications and if you check one of the first ones you can opt out of getting emails! Hope this helps you floof!

Thanks but that doesn't take away the email option on the memberlist, that's the one that is the problem, I have disabled all others.

I'd message the staff about it. Ye shouldn't be receiving emails from strangers, especially if they're doing it to harass ye. They should be able to do something about it.

I used the report option so that the message would go to staff... hope they look into it. I don't know what the email said, it wasn't in my language or a script I could read... Will have to look up how to contact staff in other ways...
