HELP PLEZ! :) how do I make particles?!

what i mean to say is... I download a bunch of SUPER COOL particles/whatever they are called, like bubbles and stuff. And I went to object maker in feral heart, and then i went to effect maker, then i went to the 'particle' tab, the I typed in the particle "Bubble.particle" and it didn't work! then i tried just typing "Bubble" but that didn't work either :/

Open the .PARTICLE files with notepad, and the first line should be "particle_system ______"

The ______ is what you want to put into effect maker, particle tab.

THANKS! one more question: The bubbles come up as white squares, to make them what they look like in the picture, what do i do? Does this have something do to with the 'Billboard' tab?

Um... It's because the particle file couldn't find the material for bubbles.

so that's it then? Your definitely right curz i checked to see if there was a material file, and there wasn't... So i  guess i'll hav to take out my anger on the person who gav it to me xD but thanks!!
