Baxins!

Origin:
Baxins are small mammal omnivores, they look as if they are a cross breed between a canine and a bunny. The Baxin originally came from Artica, but because of the over population of there main predator (the snow fox) they had to migrate to other parts of the world. Baxins beleave that the first baxin ever was there Goddess, Shebreia. Shebreia was said to of gave birth of the first litter of kits. No one knows for sure why or how they came to be the way they are or how they where even made.

Appearance:
Because the Baxin originated from Artica there fur is white as freshly frozen snow. It's the colors of there markings which make them stand out. There markings usually really bright colors, such as pink, green, yellow ect. There eyes, mane and tail tip are the same colors as their markings. If there is baxin who was born with out it's markings it is said to be a gift and later on in life it usally becomes a shaman. Not all shaman are like this though. If a Baxin
Is born with black markings it is said to be a dangerous creature, the Baxin is ether exiled or killed. Leaders markings are the most unique thing, the markings are different from other baxins. There are two different types of markings that depends on there gender, examples will be shown later.  The reason why they have different markings is to show that their the leader. The coloring can be any color (except black and white). Males are ALWAYS larger then females. Every baxin has floppy ears and a long wolf tail.

Groups:
Baxins live in groups called "Tribes", Tribes can have 5 to over 100 members. If there is more then one royal male, once the brother gets old enough to mate, he leaves the tribe to start his own. Once he finds a mate her markings change and they start there own tribe. The other male will take the leader position once parents die or retire. Tribes have 13 ranks.

*Leaders- The leadin pair that rule there tribe, they have power to speak with the goddess Shebreia, they are not always mates.
*Heirs- Kits of the leaders
*Betas- second in command pair , they can't speak with the goddess, almost NEVER mates. Watches over the Tribe while the Leaders are away. Will be come leader if the leaders die or retire befor kits are able to take over
*Deltas- Third in command pair, can't speak with the goddess. Never mates, never comes in as a leader but can fight a beta for there spot.
*Scouts/Spy's-  looks for more members for the tribe (Females mainly)
*Hunters- hunts for the tribe (Males only)
*Guardens- patrols the edge of the territorys boarders and guardes around the camp (males mainly only the most skilled females get in) (Guardens have a different look from the rest because when they become a Guardens they kill an animal and paint it the color of his or her markings)
*Herb collectors/Gatherners- collect edible plants and brings herbs to shaman (females only)
*Shaman- The only other member that can speak to the goddess, they have the knowledge of the best herbs. (gender nutrual) (normally doesn't have markings)
*Apprentices- Kits who are 3 months and older, there rank and mentor will be chosen by the leader
*Kits- the kids of the tribe
*elders- usually injured or retired old people
*Omegas- the lowest rank, usually rule breakers are in this rank. They are only fed bones or scrapes

Celebrations/ Ceremonies:
*Weddings
- held at the marriage Stone
- Is very important to a younge Baxins life

*Battle of the Ranks
- held every Friday(In real life ) at exactly 8:30, to show and choose ranks
- a chance to get higher in rankings
- Rules:
1) play fair
2) NEVER kill an opponent
3) try your hardest
4) If you lose don't hold a grudge against your opponent

*The Birth of heirs and Shaman kits
- a large feast will be held at the grave stone of Shebreia

*The nomination of Guardens
- When a Guardians apprentice is old enough to become an official guardian
- The apprentice has to kill a large animal and skin it
- There Mentor has to paint it the color of his or hers markings

Baxins diet:
Baxin eat anything from large rhodents to Berrys.
