Game Help / keep getting "failed to connect to front server" error

Hi uh, i hope im doing this right, ive never used a forum like this before
basically, whenever i try to log in in-game, i get a "failed to connect to front server" error.
i logged in on the "play game" page and i have the most recent version that i know of installed.
are there any things that im supposed to do that i dont know about?
update: ive read through some other posts that were about similar issues but i dont think i found anything useful. i tried running the game as admin but that hasnt done anything so far, ill try logging in a few more times and update this again
update 2: going to try reinstalling the game, if that doesnt work i might make a new account, not sure
update 3: launched the game with a fresh install and the most recent .exe, logged in on the play game page, tried logging in in-game about 5 or 6 times, didnt work. tried logging in with the game running as an admin and that didnt work either. this is getting a bit long now so ill stop updating it until i get a response, hope this post gets approved soon
update 4: OK LAST UPDATE NOW HOPEFULLY, im gonna make a new account and if it works im gonna migrate over to there, if it doesnt then ill stay on this account
