Making Maps

I was just wondering how to, well, how do I say it... Slope the ground, I guess? Like, make a trench or a dip or something.... If thats even possible. I saw a few videos when people had a stream or a pond, and I was just wondering how to do that. And if you could move the ground up, also. Im really confused, and I would appreciate the help.

It has a few other videos to go with it so you might want to watch those to. I used these same videos to learn how to make maps. 

[Ingredient]

You need to make a heightmap to get those ponds and hills.

You need a program that would allow you to switch from Greyscale mode to RGB for the map to work. Try GIMP its free and downloadable. http://www.gimp.org/

I will give you some quick information firstly

1. To make a heightmap you need to use Greyscale mode
2. White represents high land which can create hills while black reprents low land suitable for lakes.
3. Save in the Terrains folder as a MAPNAMETerrain.png
4. Always save as a .png format
