Wooden Shade/"Fur" Texture?

hi!

i was wondering if anyone would be able to make me a wooden shade/"fur" texture for a preset? i've been looking around for one but to no success except for maybe this, but it is private and i cannot access it.

the one i linked above was more of a bark kind of wood, but i'd prefer one more like finished wood, like it's been sanded down to create a sculpture, if you know what i mean. however if that for any reason isn't available the bark wood will do just fine.

as well, if you need this information, the character i'm planning on using it on is a feline.

Edit: Here's a wood texture, I made it by converting a plank image to black-and-white, using Paint.net. I'd make the legs look better if I could switch layers at all in GIMP(I can't select the gap between the body and the legs using Paint.net). The images are 1024x1024(3MB), feel free to resize them.
