Portal Problems

Well, lets say I'm making a map called "Forest". Now, "Forest" is not finished yet. Lets say I go in-game to the Cape of Distant Worlds. While I look for a portal, I see the "Forest" portal! It's unfinished! How could it had appeared? I didn't export it or anything. It happens with all my maps, including maps from the old "fhz" maps. It clogs up the portals in my Cape horribely. Portals that I need for groups appear way off the Cape where there's no way I can get to them! Un-exported maps clog up my Cape, how do I fix this?

That's normal.
When you make a map, it creates a .map file, which is like, the creators own personal .fhm file. Only, it updates as you update the map.

So I delete the map file?

No, it stays there. If you delete it, it will just come back.

Then what do I do? Isn't there any way to make them go away?
