I try to save my map after putting the png. in the mapmaker and it crashes. HELP:

Hmm. I have had this happen before. Are you sure that it is only one layer? If it's two it will crash. If that didn't work I don't know what will.  :D

Make sure the height-map is greyscale and 513x513. If you have extra layers, you can choose to merge them when you save the file.

Check if any of the layers is transparent. To do such, go to Layer > Transparency > Remove Alpha Channel.
