So I managed to download the update, right?

Anytime I log in the character selection, it works just fine. When I choose a character, it won't let me in the game. It loads for a long while then it says "Failed to connect to map server, retry?" What's up with that?

Make sure you have reset your character's home a few times before sending them home via user panel.

I was having that issue as well before.
Try these solutions:
-Reset character's home and send them there from the User Panel
-Restart or refresh your computer
-Use a different character until the server calms down, or until the glitch is fixed
